ICC Sydney, Managed by ASM Global, Prepares to Celebrate Global Exhibitions Day with Anticipated Surge in Attendees

Sydney, May 21, 2024 – As Global Exhibitions Day approaches on June 5, the International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), managed by ASM Global, is gearing up for a significant influx of attendees. With 16 diverse exhibitions slated for the final quarter of the fiscal year 2023/24, ICC Sydney anticipates hosting a total of 131,800 participants. These exhibitions will span various thriving sectors including manufacturing, construction, food services, and clean energy.

Sydney, New South Wales – The surge in exhibition activity coincides with the Australian federal government’s heightened focus on bolstering manufacturing and clean energy initiatives through the newly introduced “Future Made in Australia Act.” This legislation, supported by taxpayer funding, aims to enhance Australia’s global competitiveness.

Geoff Donaghy, CEO and Group Director – Convention Centres, ASM Global (APAC), emphasized the significance of exhibitions in catalyzing investment, fostering networking, and providing a platform for innovation. He stated, “Exhibitions play a vital role in stimulating business growth and supporting the local economy, benefiting various sectors nationwide.”

Highlight Exhibitions Showcase Innovation and Industry Advancements

Australian Manufacturing Week Expo: A three-day event hosted at ICC Sydney, attracting 6,000 participants, featuring 270 exhibitors, and offering 15 speaker sessions. Supported by the Government of New South Wales, this expo celebrates technological evolution and manufacturing excellence.

Sydney Build Expo: Expanding its reach in 2024, the Sydney Build Expo covered six exhibition halls, drawing 50,000 participants who engaged with over 600 exhibitors and 500 speakers. The event plans further expansion in 2025, utilizing the entire Exhibition Centre of ICC Sydney.

ARBS 2024: Scheduled for May 28-30, ARBS will occupy four halls, catering to HVAC&R and building services professionals. This event underscores the pivotal role of exhibitions in driving trade and innovation in critical industries.

Home Construction Shows: Three concurrent exhibitions—the ArchiBuild Expo, Design Show, and Kitchen + Bath Show—will take place from June 13-15, attracting an estimated 5,000 visitors collectively. These shows serve as platforms for showcasing the latest trends and innovations in home construction.

Food and Beverage Exhibitions: Food Service Australia (May 19-21), Naturally Good (June 3-4), and Good Food & Wine (June 21-23) are poised to exceed previous attendance records, highlighting innovations in the culinary sector.

Global Sourcing Expo Sydney and Craft & Quilt Fair: Running from June 12-14 and July 3-6 respectively, these exhibitions showcase innovations in retail and commerce, contributing to the vibrancy of Sydney’s event landscape.
