Discover Sarawak’s Commitment to Community Growth at IMEX Frankfurt Pavilion

Sarawak proudly returns to IMEX Frankfurt in Germany, showcasing its distinguished Sarawak Pavilion for the second consecutive year at one of the world’s leading business event tradeshows.

From May 14th to 16th, Sarawak is highlighting its role as a prime destination for business events in Malaysia and Borneo at Stand A200. The theme of this year’s pavilion centers on community growth and development, underscoring the power of collaborations to drive social and economic advancements through business events.

Key focal points for Sarawak include the lasting effects of its business events, the International Journal on Business Events and Legacies (IJBEL), and the Post COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030. The Honourable Datuk Snowdan Lawan, Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts, leads Sarawak’s delegation, engaging with global industry leaders throughout the event.

“Participating at IMEX Frankfurt showcases Sarawak’s commitment to impactful business events. With the implementation of the Post COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030, we aim to draw significant business events that contribute to our economic, social, and environmental goals,” stated The Honourable Datuk Snowdan Lawan. “We are eager to continue making connections and identifying opportunities with international partners.”

Enhancing its pavilion experience, Sarawak has partnered with the Culinary & Heritage Arts Society Sarawak (CHASS), UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) Kuching Creative City of Gastronomy, and renowned F&B provider, The Bibber’s Tale. This collaboration showcases the dynamic interplay between business events and vibrant creative sectors.

The Tree of Life design, symbolizing the impact of business events on society and their interconnected nature, is the chosen motif for this year’s pavilion. Amelia Roziman, CEO of BESarawak, expressed, “Our focus on legacy impact underscores our goal to enhance our Legacy Capital status in Frankfurt, securing valuable insights and partnerships that contribute to the PCDS 2030.”
