ITA Airways Enhances Freight Services through Innovative Partnership with Unisys

ITA Airways will be featured at the Messe Frankfurt exhibition center, stationed within the Italy-specific pavilion, Hall 8, Stand D400, overseen by the ENIT (Italian Tourism Board). At this locale, the local ITA Airways team will engage with key figures in the M.I.C.E. sector globally, such as travel agents, tour operators, and trade partners. Their agenda includes showcasing services and engaging in discussions regarding future strategic directions, priorities, and objectives pertinent to this sector.

The focal point of the Frankfurt event will be ITA Airways’ innovative M.I.C.E. initiative, which introduces a specialized team and tailored conditions designed to seize unique growth opportunities within this market segment.

Addressing both small corporate gatherings and large events exceeding 40 attendees, such as trade fairs and conferences, ITA Airways offers M.I.C.E. clients individualized travel options with preferential rates crafted to accommodate their specific requirements. The aim is to facilitate seamless, enjoyable, and sustainable travel experiences. For individual travel needs, the airline provides specialized airfare options across Business, Premium, and Economy Class for travel spanning the week before and after the event.

Since commencing operations on October 15, 2021, with an initial fleet of 52 aircraft, ITA Airways has remained steadfast in its mission to epitomize Italian excellence, delivering bespoke services and an authentic Italian ambiance throughout each flight. This mission is realized through strategic partnerships with renowned Italian brands. Notably, Brunello Cucinelli designs attire for both flight and ground crews, Walter De Silva shapes the interiors of ITA Airways’ new planes, and celebrated Italian chefs curate onboard culinary offerings. Additionally, sustainability remains a cornerstone of the company’s strategy, reflected in ongoing fleet upgrades to incorporate more advanced and efficient aircraft. Presently, the fleet comprises 93 Airbus aircraft, with 50 representing the latest models.

For the current summer season, ITA Airways serves 57 destinations, encompassing 16 domestic, 26 international, and 15 intercontinental locations. The airline is introducing new direct routes from its hub at Rome Fiumicino to various global destinations, including North America, Africa, and the Middle East. Recent and forthcoming launches include flights from Rome to Chicago in April, Toronto in May, Riyadh and Accra in June, Kuwait City and Dakar in July, and Jeddah in August, completing the summer 2024 itinerary.

Domestically, ITA Airways operates up to 152 weekly flights, connecting major German cities such as Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart, Hamburg, and Düsseldorf with Rome Fiumicino and Milan Linate airports. Moreover, the airline extends its routes to an extensive network within Italy and globally, reaching as far as South American cities in Brazil and Argentina, and offering seasonal flights to the Balearic Islands (Ibiza, Majorca, and Menorca) as well as popular Mediterranean destinations.
