Redesigning Stundenglass

Stundenglass is an innovative rotating glass hookah created by Tracey Huston. The device uses Kinetic rotating movements to help propel smoke from its mouthpiece eliminating the need to make contact with it and allowing for a super smooth smoke.

The original design, while impressive was bulky and encountered more than a few complications during the manufacturing process. The SG team reached out to Imagemme to help them improve the Aesthetic of the gravity hookah while also simplifying the manufacturing process. With Stundenglass retailing at  $499.95 it was key to have the aesthetic of both the product and  packaging match the price consumers were paying for it. It needed to be simple, slick and modern. A product a consumer would be proud to display on their coffee table.

The packaging needed to be large enough to house the Stundenglass but still maintain the brand’s sleek modern aesthetic. We developed a large corrugated box style of packaging that would be able to safely house the Stundenglass along with its accessories. We also placed a handle on the packaging to enhance its portability and allow it to double as a carrying case.

Our design team employed clean lines and geometry in the products’ form to elevate the aesthetic while solidifying the brands attention to quality.  From the body of the device to the various attachments and accessories that come with it, no piece was overlooked. One of the most significant changes we implemented was to the overall footprint and balancing of the device. We created a weighted base to keep the product stable using only one arm versus the original 2 arms the initial product had. This choice was aesthetic as well as functional; allowing for mobility and flexibility when using  the product in home.

Stundenglass invokes the best of Scandinavian art and design. In both its clarity and desire to push the boundaries of what’s possible. From a premium unboxing experience to the quality materials and design of the product itself, Imagemme worked alongside their internal team to create a product and brand that is innovative as it is beautiful.
