Hunt Showdown Patch Notes 1.12: All The Details

What's New in Hunt Showdown Patch Notes 1.12

The Hunt Showdown Patch Notes 1.12 is here, and there's a lot to dig into! Here's what you can expect from the patch—and why it matters.

First off, the big stuff: there are two new weapons in 1.12. The first is the Deane-Klock Palmetto pistol, a ranged sidearm that packs some serious punch at close range. The second is the Hippolyta lever-action rifle, a powerful weapon with an impressive range that can put down even the toughest enemies.

In addition to these two new weapons, Patch Notes 1.12 also brings with it some new maps, as well as some quality-of-life improvements like improved AI and faster loading times when transitioning between zones. There are also some balance updates to various weapons and powers to help keep the game fresh and engaging for players of all levels and styles of play.

Overall, Patch Notes 1.12 gives Hunt Showdown players plenty to look forward to in terms of new content and gameplay improvements—so if you've been itching for something new or for tweaks on existing content, this update should hit the spot.

Changes to Weapons and Ammunition

The latest Hunt Showdown Patch Notes 1.12 bring plenty of changes to weapons and ammunition, ranging from larger magazines to more deadly weapons. If you want to stay ahead of the competition, here are all the details you need to know about the new weapons and ammunition updates:

  • Rifles: increased magazine capacity for all rifles and some additional damage output improvements.
  • Shotguns: improved accuracy on most models and increased damage output.
  • Pistols: improved rate of fire for certain pistols and larger magazines for certain handguns.
  • Ammunition: new special ammunition types have been added to many weapons, including armor piercing rounds, explosive shells and improved incendiary rounds.

These changes mean that players can now better customize their loadout depending on their style of play and the situation they find themselves in while playing Hunt Showdown. With these improved weapons and ammo it's now even easier to take down your enemies quickly—regardless if they're man or monster.

Experience Points System Adjustments

Did you know that Hunt Showdown Patch Note 1.12 brings welcome adjustments to the experience points system? Definitely something worth knowing, right?

Shortened Timeout Periods

The main change with the experience points system is that the timeout periods have been shortened. In particular, there are two types of timeouts: one when playing in a team of two, and one for solo players.

When playing in a team of two, there will now be an 8-minute timeout period until a player can receive experience points again. For solo players, the period has been halved to 4 minutes. This means that if you take a break for a few minutes during match gameplay, the time it takes to get back into the action with full experience points is significantly reduced.

Other Changes Made

Besides the changes to timeout periods, Hunt Showdown Patch Note 1.12 also brings some other changes to be aware of:

  • After getting killed in solo mode up until 15 minutes into the game, you will get 25% fewer experience points than before
  • After death in squad mode up until 20 minutes into the game, you will get 15% fewerer experience points than previously
  • Damage dealt while clinging on lures or animals counts towards scoring and now rewards experience at a rate of 25x normal damage dealed (even though specialty weapons don't count)

Updated Enemy AI & Spawns

If you’ve been playing Hunt Showdown for a while, you’ll know that the AI can be a bit of a challenge. However, thanks to Patch 1.12, the AI has been given an upgrade that makes enemies smarter and more dangerous than ever before.

In this patch, the devs at Crytek have updated the enemy spawn logic to make sure that enemies don’t just appear out of nowhere – they are actively hunting you down! Now when you encounter an enemy, they will be looking around corners, using advanced tactics like flanking and ambushes to surprise you.

What’s more is that enemy AI now responds better to player visibility and sound. This means that they will go into alert mode if you fire your gun or take damage in their vicinity, making it much harder to outrun or hide from them. Finally, Patch 1.12 also features an improved navigation system for AI characters so that they can traverse large areas more quickly and efficiently.

Map Updates for a Fresh Take on Hunt Showdown

We know you all love Hunt Showdown, but with Patch 1.12, some map updates mean things might feel a little different the next time you drop into the game.

New Areas

There are some new areas to explore on maps like Quarry and Burnsite, including new huts and other abandoned buildings that were available in earlier versions of the game. These additions give you more places to hide and more opportunities to surprise your opponents.

Environment Changes

Don't be surprised if you find yourself wandering through a lot of new foliage in certain areas. To make sure things keep feeling fresh, we've increased the amount of vegetation in various places around the map. The vegetation is hard to spot from a distance, so look around carefully or your opponent might be a lot closer than expected.

In addition to these changes, we've brightened up some areas where it felt too dark before—so make sure you bring your A-game with those marksmanship skills! More details on bug fixes and other tweaks for Hunt Showdown can be found in our patch notes for version 1.12.

Balancing Tweaks for a Smoother Gameplay

One of the biggest changes that Hunt Showdown patch 1.12 brings is balancing tweaks. This is great news if you have been wanting smoother gameplay, as the changes should make it easier to adjust to the challenge level and get used to new features.

So what exactly are these balancing tweaks? Here is an overview of some of the most important ones:

Weapons Changes

  • As part of an overall effort to balance weapons, several have had their damage, accuracy, and recoil adjusted accordingly.
  • Shotguns have had their spread reduced when firing from the hip; now they will hit more consistently at short and medium range—perfect for those big boss encounters.
  • Players can now raise their weapons faster, making aiming quicker and more accurate when in a pinch.
  • The damage reduction for long range targets has been slightly decreased for some weapons, allowing for more realistic damage output when shooting over large distances.

AI Improvements

  • Improved AI pathing and navigation so that opponents move more intelligently throughout the map and will avoid obstacles better than before.
  • AI-controlled enemies will now act differently depending on their class (sharpshooter vs heavy) which affects how they move, attack and defend themselves in combat scenarios.
  • Enemies will also be able to perform rolls or sidestep while shooting at players with greater accuracy; this should make them much harder to outmaneuver in a fight.
  • Reduced friendly fire damage on AI-controlled enemies so that it won't hurt you if you accidentally shoot them while engaging a rival enemy player in a skirmish—oops.
