4 Tips To Avoid Brand Confusion

In recent times, the world has slowly but surely shifted to a new era, which is the era of Social Media, gadgets, and technology. Because of this, many changes and advancements have been made to different industries that, of course, these industries, in turn, had to adapt to survive through the period of time.

Social networks have been a double-edged sword that took the world by storm and changed how marketing and branding have been done. In this day and age, it is impossible for a business owner not to make use of and maximize social networking sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and even TikTok and YouTube to promote their Brand recognition, products, and services.

That said, social media and being that much of a powerful tool that doesn’t require so much to be used is actually scary. It is for the reason that people take it lightly and for granted that, in turn, leaves room for multiple mistakes and errors that need to be corrected and require damage control. Especially if that error can make or break your brand’s online presence and reputation, and this is what causes brand confusion.

With the advent of social media, one might be given the impression that the world is at their fingertips, and maybe it truly is, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be careful. Especially with topics such as branding that can only either harness a positive or negative impact.

So if you are a business owner or a social media handler or curator and you are looking for help on how to grow your brand successfully on social media, here are 4 Tips On How To Avoid Brand Confusion.

1- Know Your Target Audience

A major part that might even play the most vital role in your social media marketing is knowing who your audience is. There are tools that enable you to look at the demographics of your audience so use that to your advantage.

Once you find out the majority of your audience such as how old they are, their gender, where they come from like are they from the United States or not, and what type of content they respond the best to, you can now cater to them better.

Do they prefer infographics or articles? Knowing this can help you fully understand what to do to fully be able to create content sustainable for your audience and stick to that so you have sable engagements which should be one of your priorities. Branching out from that will come after you have gotten the most out of your initial goals and once you are also ready to expand. It is better to focus on one target audience that responds rather than targeting other people or networks that won’t,

2- Know The Most Suitable Platform For You

Now that you have pointed out your target audience, find out the most suitable platform to get to them that fits your brand standards. Whether it be Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or even through TikTok and YouTube, once you have a target audience in mind, you prioritize whatever platform they use the most and curate content that is best for that social networking platform and audience.

Be clever with finding out which content works for each forum because when done right, content increases engagement that you might be hitting two birds with one stone by appealing to not just your target audience but by getting interaction from an audience beyond that if you’ve done it right.

3- Know Your Vibe

What type of brand are you? Are you a professional brand that has very formal posts? Are you a brand that aims to be relatable, so you appeal to your audience through memes or by riding the current trends with a twist of your own that you are sure to catch eyes with?

After knowing your target audience and knowing what platform they use the most so you can start planning content to put out, an important thing to do is to determine what type of vibe you want to work with that you think will suit your brand the best and what your brand will be best known for. Like a specific color scheme, you will stick to.

Bear that in mind because once you let out content, you need to stick to that vibe so as not to confuse your audience and stick to the algorithm. Once done right, you’d have a following that knows and lives your brand without you even noticing it. So know your vibe and stick with it. You can always rebrand after you’ve gotten a response.

4- Know When To Post

For the most part, social media seems easy, but in reality, it’s actually quite more complex than what it seems. Specific applications have an algorithm that you have to follow in order for you to appear on someone’s timeline, and this algorithm sometimes includes sticking to a particular posting date or time to milk out the most interactions. So know when to post. Is it Thursdays at 8 PM or Noontime on Saturdays? Once you know when to post that is part of your social media branding, also use these 5 tips to improve your social media posts.
