Role Description:

Full-time position reporting to the Head of Digital

As an Affiliate marketing manager, you will lead the shaping of the overall affiliate marketing strategy to help maximize business performance. She will manage all aspects of our affiliate marketing activity to achieve ROI growth goals and new customer acquisition in the domestic and international markets.

This is an exciting role as The Fold launches and develops this fledgling marketing channel. You will thrive on responsibility and enjoy a sense of ownership as you advance this program.

Working with our newly named affiliate agency (Rakuten), you will take direct ownership of important partner relationships, manage the affiliate platform, search and recruit new affiliate partners, and negotiate new placements and promotions.

Your responsibilities:

  • Drive and own relationships with affiliate partners (through Rakuten) to drive customer and revenue growth.
  • Grow our affiliate network by building deep collaborative relationships with affiliates.
  • Screen potential affiliates to ensure brand alignment, content quality, and promotional tactics to make recommendations accordingly.
  • Work with Brand Marketing and PR to identify, cultivate and maintain meaningful relationships with a broad. spectrum of influencers and affiliate partners to generate content and revenue.
  • Ensure affiliate marketing opportunities are aligned and activated in accordance with the overall marketing plan.
  • Report to our in-house creative team to create the assets and collateral needed to run affiliate campaigns.
  • Monitor affiliate tracking and ensure data and analytics are reported effectively.
  • Deliver accurate KPI forecasts and business targets.
  • Advise the business in general on all matters related to affiliate marketing, trends and updated technologies and the benefits it has within the business.
  • Reach out to representatives from other performance marketing channels to collaborate on broader performance marketing projects and campaigns while ensuring, where possible, activity is aligned and best practices are shared.
  • Provide detailed reports, analysis and insights to relevant stakeholders, highlighting the story behind actual and forecast performance.
  • Responsible for all administrative tasks related to running an efficient affiliate program.
  • You will need to manage the affiliate's budget and process all invoices.

To be an ideal candidate, you must be passionate about affiliate marketing and have a thorough understanding of how to run and grow an affiliate program. Ideally, your experience has been gained by working in a high-growth, multi-channel retail business. You will have a thorough understanding of the different types of affiliates and how they work.

It is data driven and you can use reports and dashboards to analyze performance. Experience in providing clear reporting and, more importantly, actionable insights into channel performance to a broad audience is crucial.

Business astute, you have a successful track record of achieving goals and objectives, with the ability to deliver excellence.

You need to understand the bigger picture of digital marketing (PPC, SEO, paid social, and programmatic channels).

About you:

  • At least 3 years of experience working in affiliate marketing in a retail environment.
  • Experience with an affiliate management platform is essential, an understanding of the Rakuten platform would be ideal.
  • Entrepreneur with an entrepreneurial attitude. You can plan and manage your time effectively and have a knack for juggling competing deadlines on multiple projects.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and pride in their work.
  • A proven track record of delivering business results in a fast-paced online business.
  • A great communicator. He has excellent influencing and negotiation skills, while building professional and lasting relationships at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills in Excel, digital analytics platforms (Google Analytics, and using data to make informed strategic decisions.
