WWE SmackDown results 2022 tonight, September 23, 2022, WWE Friday Night SmackDown returns to our lives with a live broadcast from Salt Lake City, Utah’s Vivint Smart Home Arena. The show will include all the most recent buildup to the upcoming Extreme Rules pay-per-view (PPV), which is scheduled for early next month in Philadelphia.

Roman Reigns, the WWE Universal Champion, is rumoured to be making his “big return” to SmackDown tonight in order to discuss what he intends to do to Logan Paul in Saudi Arabia.

Additionally, tonight’s card has Braun Strowman vs. Otis, a potential White Rabbit surprise, Jimmy and Jey Uso defending the undisputed WWE tag team titles against the Brawling Brutes (Ridge Holland & Butch), and more.

The Roman Reigns/Logan Paul press conference from last Saturday is reviewed.

Paul Heyman receives the microphone after Roman Reigns commands Salt Lake City to acknowledge him. He asserts that Roman Reigns is the Tribal Chief and that the Island of Relevancy is the rightful owner of the entire cosmos.

Since Drew McIntyre now has a second route to Kross, Paul wishes to discuss Solo Sikoa. He wishes he could take credit, but it wasn’t his idea or Roman’s.

As a result, Jimmy and Jey Uso may focus on their quest for glory, fame, and immortality. They are going to humiliate the Brawling Brutes when they encounter them tonight. Halfway into their catchphrase, Roman steps up to the mic and addresses Sikoa.

He claims that although the elders may have sent him, Solo now answers to him, and he demands that he do so. Roman hugs his cousin as Sikoa accepts the microphone and formally introduces him as Tribal Chief. Everyone starts to depart as Roman’s music begins, but Sami requests that the music be turned off.

Reigns appears amused and declares his admiration for Sami, but why is he talking now?

He observes what is happening, but why is their shirt still on him? What’s going on, why is he following along? What is his goal? Sami will know what he wants from him—he wants him to remove his shirt. Zayn responds, “If this is about what happened with Logan Paul last week, he can explain,” as Jey orders him to take it off.

Roman promises not to tell him to take off his shirt again. Reigns tells Jey to tear it off because he pauses too long. Sami is warned by Roman not to wear that clothing again and to pay attention this time. He will never again wear a Bloodline shirt.

Zayn enthusiastically dons it, shakes hands with Jimmy in a formal manner, hugs Solo, and Jey, well, at least they don’t fight. He responds positively when Reigns asks if he has anything to say, and then they embrace tightly.

We go to break after spotting the Brawling Brutes watching backstage.

Lacey Evans vs. Liv Morgan

Evans took over right away, knocking Morgan out with a boot, squeezing her face into the ropes, snaring her in a cobra clutch, and exhausting Liv! As we go to break, Lacey sends Morgan tumbling to the ground and is still in complete control.

After the ad, Evans is using the Cobra Clutch once more and exhausting Morgan. When Liv throws the bird in defiance, Lacey kicks her in the pump and crushes her! Headscissors flying out of the corner, holding onto the scissors as she performs pushups, and then rolling into the grip and squeezing her down!

Morgan is knocked out by kicks to the face. Lacey then searches under the ring for a broom, throws it away, and takes a kendo stick, but Liv dodges the blow and Codebreaker sets her up.
