Recognizing the need to address this gap, Citroen has announced plans to introduce an Automatic Gearbox option for the C3 hatchback by June this year.

Automatic Transmission

The upcoming Automatic variant of the C3 hatchback will feature the same 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox as the C3 Aircross SUV. This gearbox will be paired with the higher-spec 110hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, providing drivers with a seamless and refined driving experience.

Pricing and Premium

While the introduction of the automatic gearbox is expected to enhance the appeal of the C3 hatchback, it may come at a premium of over Rs 1 lakh compared to the equivalent manual trim.

However, the sophisticated Torque Converter Automatic transmission is poised to offer superior performance and driving comfort, positioning the C3 hatchback as a compelling choice in its segment.

Enhanced Comfort and Safety

In addition to the automatic gearbox, Citroen will introduce several new features to further enhance the comfort and safety of the C3 hatchback. These include automatic air conditioning, a foldable key, and LED headlights.

Moreover, the C3 hatchback will be equipped with six airbags, ISOFIX anchorages, and rear seatbelt reminders as standard, ensuring enhanced safety for occupants.

Future Prospects

Looking ahead, Citroen plans to unveil a more comprehensive facelift for the C3 hatchback next year, featuring a thoroughly redesigned exterior and interior. This initiative underscores Citroen’s commitment to continually enhance the quality and appeal of its offerings in the Indian market.
