The Indian Automobile market is preparing for new vehicle launches. The upcoming compact Suvs are ready to intensify the competition in the market. Below are the details of the top upcoming SUVs in August 2023:

1. Tata Punch i-CNG

After the launch of Exter, Tata Motors is preparing to launch the Punch CNG. However, the carmaker showcased it at the Auto Expo 2023 with twin-cylinder technology. The Punch uses the new ALFA platform and has achieved a 5-star safety rating in Global NCAP.

Meanwhile, the Punch will be available with a 1.2L Revotron Petrol engine. This engine will produce 73hp and 95nm in CNG mode. But the CNG variants will be available with 5-Speed Manual Gearbox only. The Punch CNG is likely to arrive in the coming weeks.

2. Hyundai Creta and Alcazar Special Edition

Hyundai is preparing to launch the new Special Edition variant of the Creta and Alcazar. We expect that the new variant will be named the Adventure edition. In this edition, the Creta and Alcazar will get several changes to its design theme. Moreover, both SUVs will get the new Ranger Khaki colour which was recently unveiled in the new Exter.

However, there will be no changes to the engine and gearbox of the Creta and Alcazar. Both the SUVs will continue with the petrol and diesel engines. Also, both these SUVs will get the options of manual and automatic gearboxes. We can expect that the carmaker will launch it in the coming weeks.

3. Audi Q8 E-Tron

Audi is going to launch the new Q8 E-Tron on August 18, 2023. The new Q8 E-tron is basically the facelift version of the Q8 SUV. In the facelift version, the German carmaker has made several changes to the exterior like a new grille, new lights, large intakes, and the new Audi logo.

Also, the new Q8 E-Tron gets a new sound system, power-adjustable seats, an updated infotainment system, 4-zone climate control, etc. Meanwhile, the new Q8 E-Tron gets a new 114kWh battery pack and 408hp electric motor. Also, it gets a claimed range of 600km and an AWD system.

4. New Generation Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class

Mercedes-Benz is preparing to launch the new generation GLC-Class on August 9, 2023. The new GLC gets major changes in the design of the exterior and the interior. It gets new LED headlights, a large grille with the Mercedes-Benz logo, new alloys, and redesigned LED taillights.

The new GLC is loaded with features such as the updated MBUX infotainment system, 4-zone climate control, power-adjustable seats, ambient lighting, etc. The new GLC will continue with the 2.0L petrol and diesel engines with a mild-hybrid system. Also, the new GLC will get the 9-Speed Automatic Gearbox and 4matic AWD system.

5. Volvo C40 Recharge

Volvo is gearing up to launch the all-new C40 Recharge SUV. The new C40 Recharge is an all-new electric SUV from the house of the Swedish Carmaker. This SUV uses the same CMA platform which is present in the XC40. However, it features a new coupe design, LED headlights with DRLs, a new grille, stylish alloys, and LED taillights.

The new C40 Recharge will get the new twin electric motor setup which will make 408hp and 660nm of output. With the new 78kWh battery pack, we expect that the new C40 Recharge will get 500km of claimed range.
