Maruti Suzuki June 2023 and FY 2023-24 Sales–Achieved Up to 8.43% Growth

The leading car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki has announced the sales report for June 2023. The carmaker posted a total of 1,59,418 units in June 2023. These numbers depict that the carmaker gained a YoY growth of 2% more than 1,55,857 units in June 2022. Let’s have a glimpse at the sales analysis of the carmaker:

Sales Analysis of June 2023

The total cumulative sales of the carmaker stood at 1,59,418 units in June 2023 which is 2% more than June 2022. Meanwhile, the sales of domestic passenger vehicles are 1,33,027 units in June 2023. Domestic passenger vehicle sales are up by 8.43% to 1,22,687 units in June 2022, but down by 7.43% than May 2023. The passenger vehicle segment includes Alto and S-Presso in the mini segment. The sales of this segment are down from 14,054 units to 14,442 units in June 2022.

In the compact segment, the sales of Baleno, Celerio, DZire, Ignis, Swift, TourS, and WagonR are down at 64,471 units compared to 77,746 units in June 2022. The sales of the Maruti Ciaz sedan are up by 1.15% from 1,744 units to 1,507 units in June 2022. The Utility Vehicle Segment includes Brezza, Fronx, Ertiga, XL6, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, S-Cross, Eeco, and Super Carry pick-up.

The total domestic sales of the utility vehicle segment with commercial vehicles stand at 1,36,109 units in June 2023. These numbers are up by 1.08% more than last year’s sales of 1,25,710 units in June 2022. Meanwhile, the export sales are 19,770 units in June 2023 which are 1.2% less than 23,883 units in June 2022.

Sales Analysis of April to June in FY 2023-24

The total cumulative sales of the carmaker stood at 4,98,030 units in FY 2023-24 which is 1.06% more than FY 2022-23. Meanwhile, the sales of domestic passenger vehicles are 4,14,055 units in FY 2022-23. Domestic passenger vehicle sales are up by 1.15% to 3,59,154 units in FY 2022-23. The passenger vehicle segment includes Alto and S-Presso in the mini segment. The sales of this segment are down at 40,400 units to 48,987 units in FY 2022-23.

In the compact segment, the sales of Baleno, Celerio, DZire, Ignis, Swift, TourS, and WagonR are up at 2,10,825 units than 2,04,887 units in FY 2022-23. The sales of the Maruti Ciaz sedan are up by 1.40% at 3,753 units than 2,672 units in FY 2022-23.

The overall domestic sales of the utility vehicle segment with commercial vehicles stand at 4,22,134 units in FY 2023-24. These numbers are up by 1.11% more than last year’s sales of 3,79,931 units in FY 2022-23. Meanwhile, the export sales are 63,218 units in FY 2023-24 which are 0.91% less than 69,437 units in FY 2022-23.

Maruti Suzuki Sales in Q2 and H1 of 2023

In the second quarter of 2023, Maruti Suzuki experienced positive growth in sales, selling a total of 414,055 units. This marked a 12.16% increase compared to the sales of 369,154 units in the same period of 2022. However, there was a decline of 3.16% when compared to the sales of 427,578 units in the first quarter of 2023. Looking at the overall performance in the first half of 2023, Maruti Suzuki saw a 9.89% increase in sales, with a total of 841,633 units sold. This was a significant growth from the sales of 765,887 units in the first half of 2022, resulting in volume growth of 75,746 units.

About Maruti Suzuki Invicto

Maruti Suzuki is geared up to launch its flagship 8-seater MPV called Invicto. The Invicto will be based on Toyota Innova Hycross with first-in-segment features. These features are Ottoman seats, a large infotainment screen, a new digital cluster, a tweaked exterior design, and new alloys. It will be powered by a 2.0L Hybrid engine making 186hp and 205nm of output mated to e-CVT transmission. Meanwhile, the carmaker has slated the Invicto for the launch on 5th of July 2023 in the market.
