Maruti Suzuki Invicto: All You Need To Know

Toyota Innova based Maruti Suzuki Invicto is just around the corner. Everything we know so far about the launch.

On July 5th, Maruti Suzuki is scheduled to launch the Invicto, a crossover/MPV in the D-segment. It is expected that this vehicle will be based on the Toyota Innova Hycross, which was introduced last year. Maruti Suzuki has collaborated with Toyota for this project, and they will manufacture the Invicto at Toyota’s Bidadi facility.

Maruti Suzuki has chosen its dedicated dealership network called Nexa to market its premium models, including the Baleno, Ignis, Grand Vitara, and Jimny. The Invicto may also be included in the Nexa lineup. Nexa focuses on providing customers with a premium and exclusive buying experience, emphasizing exceptional customer service and a unique retail environment.

With the launch of the Invicto, Maruti Suzuki aims to enter the higher segment of the market and capitalize on the popularity of the Innova. This flagship product represents Maruti’s efforts to establish a presence in the premium market, overcoming past challenges faced with models like the Kizashi.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto Features

The Invicto is highly anticipated to come equipped with a wide range of features similar to those found in the Innova Hycross. These features are expected to enhance the overall driving experience and provide advanced functionalities such as.

  • Panoramic Sunroof.
  • 360-Degree Parking Camera.
  • 9-Speaker JBL Sound System.
  • Automatic Driver Seats with Memory Function.
  • LED Lights.
  • Three-Zone Climate Control.

The new Invicto, like the Innova Hycross, features a Monocoque chassis and powers the front wheels, unlike the previous Innova model. It comes equipped with a Strong Hybrid 2.0L Four-cylinder engine and an E-CVT motor, which deliver a claimed power of 183.72 bhp and torque of 260 Nm. The strong hybrid assistance ensures that the Invicto provides a good balance of power and fuel economy.

Price and Variants

While the official pricing for the Invicto has not been announced yet, it is expected that the vehicle will share many elements with the Innova Hycross. However, pricing plays a significant role in the decision-making process. The base model is anticipated to have an approximate price of 30 lakhs, while the top variant is expected to cost around 30.72 lakhs. This positions the Invicto at a premium of approximately 1 lakh rupees compared to the Innova Hycross.

Similar to the Innova Hycross, the Maruti Invicto is likely to come in two options: Alpha and Alpha Plus. The Alpha Plus variant is expected to feature the full ADAS suite and the option for Ottoman seats.

Expectations

Although the Innova Hycross is a great offering from Toyota. We would like a few things to be different from the Innova.

  • More color options, we would like to see different color options on the Suzuki to make stand out more than it’s twin.
  • Wider Tyres. Currently the Innova sits on 215/205 Front/Rear section tyres. which looks quite skinny on Innova Hycross due to its wider wheel arches and tall height, it will look much better if it came with wider tyres as standard.
  • Improved plastic quality, a few bits where it is not covered with leather. There the plastic are not as nice to touch, especially on the doors. It will be nice if Suzuki is somehow able to fix that in their model.
  • Early Delivery, Innova Hycross has a huge waiting period of more than 9 months. However, Maruti allocation can improve things and through Nexa wide network Maruti will be able to move a ton of Invicto.
