TVS has registered a new trademark named ‘Apache RTX’ for its upcoming Bike. This trademark for the TVS has been registered by Sundaram Clayton Limited which is a part of TVS Group. Here are our speculations about this bike!

Could this be a Naked Street or Adventure bike?

TVS is working on a slew of new motorcycles out of which one will be a 300cc naked street motorcycle. While the other will be an Adventure motorcycle brimmed with off-road capabilities. However, since the TVS is working on a new adventure bike. We can expect that the RTX might be the most awaited adventure version of the Apache range. Furthermore, we can expect stunt bike styling with modern features and bigger wheels based on the BMW G310 GS. Since some BMW bikes use a similar platform from the house of TVS.

On the flip side, the nomenclature depicts that this could be another naked street bike in the Apache range. However, it is expected that the Apache RTX will be a naked street motorcycle. In this bike, we can expect an aggressive design profile and youthful styling like the BMW G310 R. Notably, this could be the production version of the Draken prototype which was recently showcased.

Having a glance at the history of TVS bike launches, the manufacturer is oriented towards the product resembling the prototypes. The Akula is the prototype version of the Apache RR 310. Hence, the Apache RTX is expected to be a new street naked bike.

Powertrain and Pricing of TVS Apache RTX

The upcoming Tvs Apache Rtx is expected to use the 312cc, single-cylinder, petrol engine which also powers the RTR 310. However, TVS might re-tune this engine in the RTX for enhanced power delivery producing approx. 34hp and 27nm of output. This engine will be paired to a 6-Speed Transmission. We can expect that the TVS will retail its upcoming Apache RTX between Rs. 3 Lakhs to Rs. 3.5 Lakhs Ex-showroom.

Launch Timeline and the Competition

As of now, these are just speculations for the trademark ‘Apache RTX’ being used for a naked street or an adventure bike. The 2-wheeler manufacturer will launch its new bike in the upcoming months which will depict the usage of this trademark.

The upcoming TVS Apache RTX might take on Honda CB200X, Hero XPulse, Suzuki V-Strom SX 250, R.E. Himalayan, KTM Adventure X, BMW G 310 GS, etc. if it is an Adventure Motorcycle.

If the upcoming bike lies in the Naked Street segment, then it will take on the likes of Bajaj Pulsar NS 200, KTM Duke 125, Suzuki Katana, BMW G 310 R, etc.
