Mercedes-Benz has launched the refreshed version of the A-Class in the form of a facelift. While the sedan version is priced at Rs. 45.80 Lakhs Ex-Showroom, the A45S AMG is priced at Rs. 92.80 Lakhs Ex-Showroom. The new facelift iteration of A-class is brimmed with features and cosmetic revisions.

Exterior Tweaks in New Mercedes-Benz A-Class

Mercedes-Benz has tweaked the overall front fascia of the new A-Class. The facelift version of the sedan gets a new sloping hood and a sharp nose enhancing the aerodynamic profile of the car. Furthermore, the grille is redesigned with a star pattern accentuating the beauty of the car. Meanwhile, the side profile enhances the sporty look of the car with the new 17-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels. At the rear, the carmaker has added new LED taillights and tweaked bumpers in the A-Class Sedan.

Interior and Features

On the interior front, the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class gets a new twin-screen display setup each of size 10.25 inches. The carmaker has updated the infotainment system with the latest version of MBUX software, and it supports the wireless connectivity of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Moreover, the steering wheel gets new touch capacitive controls for controlling various functions of the car.  However, the other features of the car are carried forward, like auto AC, cruise control, ambient lighting, 7-airbags, hands-free tailgate operations, etc.

About Mercedes-Benz A45S AMG Facelift 

The carmaker has tweaked the exterior profile of the hot hatchback with a new AMG-specific radiator design. The carmaker has tweaked the position of the AMG badge. The new AMG rear Aerofoil is available as an accessory for A45S AMG owners. 

Inside, the facelift version of the hot hatchback gets aluminium AMG design elements for a sporty stance. The new version of the A45S AMG gets a new AMG performance steering wheel with touch panel controls and an updated MBUX infotainment system. The new AMG-specific graphics and AMG dynamic select are exclusive to the AMG models.

Powertrain Options

The new Mercedes-Benz A-Class facelift is only available with 1 Engine option. At the heart of the matter is a 1.3L 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, making 160hp and 250nm of output. This engine is paired with a 7-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission. For now, the carmaker is only offering the petrol engine with A-Class Sedan. However, the diesel engine in this car will be launched by Q4 of 2023.

Talking about the A45S AMG, the hot hatchback is still powered by the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. This engine produces 421hp of power and 500nm of torque output. The carmaker has coupled this engine to the AMG Speedshift 8G DCT gearbox and a 4matic+ AWD system. This results in a 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.9 seconds.
