Citroen unveiled their compact SUV, the C3 Aircross. The carmaker will provide this SUV in 2 different configurations: 5-Seater and 7-Seater. This French SUV will be locally manufactured for minimum cost and based on the same CMP modular platform of C3.

Dimensions and Aesthetics of the Citroen C3 Aircross

The Aircross version of C3 boasts a unique and quirky design language. Upfront, the SUV features a robust front profile with split LED headlamps, a chrome grille with the Citroen logo and a large air dam. The carmaker has tweaked the bumpers with a new skid plate and fog lamps. The round wheel arches further accentuate the character of this vehicle featuring a long wheelbase of 2,671mm.

This SUV is 4.3m long, has ground clearance of 200mm and a large boot space of up to 511 litres. On the side profile, the SUV looks bulky in size and features a snazzy dual-tone paint job and alloy wheels. The rear profile of the C3 Aircross might remind of its younger sibling the C3. The SUV gets C-shaped LED taillamps with a black bar running across the tailgate. The bumper gets skid plates with reflectors for an enhanced rugged stance.

Interior and Features of Citroen C3 Aircross

Citroen C3 Aircross features a premium beige and black interior with a funky layout. This SUV will be available with either a 5-seater or 7-seater configuration. The Automatic Climate Control might be missed, yet this SUV features a separate unit for rear passengers. Behind the wheel is a fully digital multi-colour instrument cluster with driving modes. The highlight of the interior is a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system like the C3.

Engine and Gearbox Options

The Citroen C3 Aircross will be available with 2 Engine options. The lower variants would be powered by a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine. However, the main highlight of this SUV would be the 1.2L turbo petrol engine. Citroen will tweak both these engines for a higher state of tune and balanced efficiency. Initially, this SUV will be available with a 6-Speed Manual Transmission. But the carmaker might offer an Automatic Transmission at a later stage.

Launch Timeline and the Competition

Citroen C3 Aircross will be slated for its launch by the next half of 2023. This SUV will be pitched against rivals such as Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq.
