India does not use trikes very often. Nevertheless, they are a typical sight in ASEAN and European countries. Where scooter manufacturers have produced a considerable number of scooters in this sector. The most recent of the group is the Tricity 125 and 155 scooter model 2023 range from Yamaha. These have just been introduced in Japan.

Tricity 125 was introduced at JPY 4,95,000 (about Rs. 3.1 lakh) and Tricity 155 at JPY 5,56,000 (roughly Rs. 3.54 lakh). Taxes are not included in these pricing.

2023 Yamaha Tricity 125cc and 155cc

Both scooters are really enormous and dominate the road. With its Tricity scooter line, Yamaha has selected an intriguing design language.

The 2023 Yamaha Tricity’s flowing shape seems to do a good job at concealing the weight. The front of the vehicle has a sizable LED headlight unit, which is flanked by turn indicators. A somewhat tall windscreen covers the instrument panel. The aggressive front fascia as a whole wouldn’t appear out of place on a superbike that chases peak speed.

Three scooters from the Tricity line are part of Yamaha’s international product lineup. 125, 155, and 300 cc models are available. Tricity 125’s liquid-cooled engine produces 12.06 horsepower and 11.02 Nm. Even though the Tricity 155’s 155cc 4V engine is the same as the R15 V4’s, it has been detuned to produce only 14.88 horsepower and 14 Nm.

Features

The Yamaha Tricity line features two 14″ alloy front wheels and a 13″ alloy rear wheel. The ability to tilt the front wheels helps them turn. All wheels have disc brakes, while the front and rear suspension are handled by telescoping front forks and dual shock absorbers, respectively. A smart key with keyless operation, smartphone connectivity, and many more features are included.

Since the Tricity range’s 2014 global launch, Yamaha has not had much success. The spectacular re-introduction in 2019, the ASEAN and JDM markets haven’t seen much growth for the Yamaha Tricity series. Tricity 300 was released In 2019. Tricity 155, on the other hand, made its debut at the 2016 Osaka Motorcycle Show. Yamaha is placing a large wager on trikes for 2023 with the introduction of the MY2023 Yamaha Tricity 125 and Tricity 155 in JDM.
