Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has announced the launch of its all-new Dzire Tour-S taxi sedan for the Indian Car Market. It is based on the facelifted latest-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire which is currently on sale in India.
The Dzire Tour S is the brand’s entry-level fleet-only sedan that is available in both Petrol and a factory-fitted S-CNG option. The petrol version is priced at Rs 6.51 lakh, while the CNG version costs Rs 7.36 lakh (ex-showroom).
About The Dzire Tour S
The 2nd generation of the Dzire was being used by Maruti for the earlier outgoing Dzire Tour S models whereas now this new Dzire Tour S is based on the facelifted 3rd generation Dzire compact sedan.
The 2023 Maruti Suzuki Tour S is offered in two trim levels for the taxi market in India – Std (O) and Std (O) CNG. There are 3 colour options, Arctic White, Silky Silver, and Midnight Black. The 2023 Tour S comes with a new front fascia while the rear design is equipped with LED tail lamps and the ‘Tour S’ badging.
Interior, Features & Other Details
The interior is equipped with tilt-adjustable steering, manual air conditioner with pollen -filter, front accessory socket, ISOFIX seat anchorages, and speed-sensing door locks.
Based on Suzuki’s Heartect platform, the new Tour S comes equipped with Electronic Stability Program (ESP), ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, Dual airbags, Reverse Parking System, and a Speed Limiting System.
Engines
The all-new 2023 Tour S is powered by Maruti Suzuki’s K Series 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 89bhp at 6,000rpm and 113Nm of peak torque at 4,400rpm. But in the CNG guise, the Tour S’ engine output drops to 76bhp at 6,000rpm and 98.5Nm of peak torque at 4,300rpm.
The Dzire Tour S, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, offers a fuel-efficiency figure of 23.15 km/l for the petrol model. While the S-CNG version of the Tour S has a rated fuel-efficiency figure of 32.12 km/kg. This makes it 21% more efficient than the outgoing model.
