Lamborghini Reveals the Huracan Sterrato

Before it makes its public premiere on November 30 at Art Basel in Miami, Lamborghini has released a set of official photos of the Huracan Sterrato

The Sterrato is probably the company’s ultimate model with a pure combustion engine. In June 2019, Lamborghini unveiled the idea for the Huracan Sterrato, an off-road variant of the V10-powered supercar. Now, Lamborghini has removed the camouflage to fully expose the exterior style.

Design

The Huracan Sterrato features side body claddings, two LED fog lamps, roof rails, and a snorkel installed on the roof. At the back, a larger roof scoop has been added, and the diffuser on the rear bumper has undergone some changes that should help the departure angle. The Huracan Sterrato has significantly more ground clearance than almost any other supercar on the market thanks to the apparent suspension boost.

To enhance the all-terrain performance, Lamborghini has also added new black wheels shod in beefy Bridgestone Dueler tyres. The large side skirts and underbody guards at the front and back are also visible. The Huracan’s new khaki paint has been paired with red body highlights that continue onto the brake calipers. Lamborghini has taken particular to emphasize that it is an all-terrain vehicle equipped to handle surfaces covered in loose soil.

Engine

The Serrato concept’s engine, a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 with 640 horsepower and a seven-speed automatic transmission, was identical to the Huracan Evo. The Huracan’s rear-wheel steering system is anticipated to remain in the Sterrato’s production-spec model, and it will also have an improved version of the Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI) driving mode system that is better at gaining traction in slippery conditions.

Last Of the V10s

With the Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica and Lamborghini Urus Performante joining them this year, nearly seven decades of Lamborghini sportscars powered solely by internal combustion are predicted to come to an end and as a result, Lamborghini will unveil the Aventador’s replacement in 2023, which will have a hybrid power boost. With the addition of a new hybrid component, Lamborghini officials claim that the electrified powertrain will be substantially more potent than the current model. The electrified powertrain will continue to get the majority of its power from a highly stressed, large-capacity V12 engine. In the future, the Huracan’s replacement will likewise be hybrid-aided.
