The Ducati Multistrada V4 was the best-selling Ducati in 2021 with almost 10,000 motorcycles delivered worldwide. It is also the first motorcycle in the world equipped with front and rear radar, with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Blind Spot Detection (BSD) systems. It is currently available in 2 variants and 4 colors and starts at a price of Rs 25.49 lakh whereas the top variant is priced at Rs 26.75 lakh. Now, Ducati has updated the electronics of the motorcycle and also introduced a new color scheme.
The Updated Ducati Multistrada V4 S gets the new Iceberg White livery color range. This color was introduced in the international markets in March 2022. The new Multistrada V4 retains most of its design and features from its predecessor, the Multistrada 1260. Even with little changes the V4 comes equipped with a twin-pod headlight, a semi-fairing, an adjustable windscreen, a 22-liter fuel tank, split-style seats, a side-slung exhaust, and a double-sided swingarm. Unlike the old model, the new variants ride on 19-inch front/17-inch rear wheels. The electronic aids, which work with the inertial platform (IMU), include ABS Cornering, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), and Ducati Traction Control (DTC). The S variant further benefits from Cornering Lights (DCL), Vehicle Hold Control (VHC), and the electronically adjustable, semi-active Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) control system with an Autoleveling function.
The Multistrada V4 will get a new semi-automatic electronic suspension and also comes with the ‘Minimum Preload’ feature which lets the rider reduce the height of the bike. Additionally, it also includes software updates for the ‘Ducati Connect interface and also the Human Machine interface. Existing owners of the Ducati Multistrada V4 can also choose to opt for the 2022 updates if they want. Owners of the bike who are eligible will be contacted via the MyDucatti app and via e-mail after which they can get their bikes updated at the nearest service center.
The Ducati Multistrada V4 is powered by a BS6-compliant 1,158cc, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 168bhp of power at 10,000rpm and 125Nm of peak torque at 8,750 rpm. The Ducati Multistrada V4 comes with ABS on both tires with both front and rear disc brakes. The bike weighs 240 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 22 liters.
