Georgia is the No. 1 ranked team in the country and enters the game with a 9-0 record. A win over Mississippi State would clinch the SEC East for Georgia.

Kendall Milton tore off a 34-Yard touchdown run to put Mississippi State to bed. It has been far from a perfect day for Georgia, but that touchdown solidifies a dominant win.

The Georgia defense came up with back-to-back fourth down stops on State’s last two drives. The Maroon Bulldogs are 0-for-3 on fourth down attempts.

The second came when Kamari Lassiter delivered a big-time open field tackle on a Mississippi State fourth-and-1 from the UGA 8-yard line. The cornerback flipped running back Jo’Quavious Marks for Georgia’s second fourth down stop of the day.

The third was an errant throw from Will Rogers, giving the Bulldogs the ball just 47 yards from the end zone.

The pass-heavy Maroon Bulldogs are averaging just 4.2 yards per play and are 1-for-9 on third down.

The Mississippi State offense scored its first points of the day, a 6-yard connection between Will Rogers and Rufus Harvey.

The Maroon Bulldogs notched their second interception of the night, setting their offense up on the Georgia 22-yard line. Both interceptions have come on passes disrupted in the pocket.

Ladd McConkey notched his second score in as many drives for Georgia, snagging a 17-yard skinny post route at the goal line.

McConkey has contributed 113 all-purpose yards and two total touchdowns. It is his second game with a rushing and receiving score this season.
