.

What makes you the best at what you do? What values drive you to perform even better?

Being young demonstrates that I’ve still got a lot to learn. However, it does mean that I am closer to the greatness of my job than just being good at what I do.

What helps me perform great at what I do is two things: persistence and adaptability. I’m the type of person that pushes for more. I’ll gladly take on more responsibility and create ways to achieve that financial success. This all relies on my actual capabilities. If I can push myself to be more than I think I am, I’ll take on that challenge.

The Ortus Club’s work environment is extremely different from any other organisation. We’re family-oriented, so everyone is close, and we have a tight-knit bond with each other. It helps us get the job done and work efficiently with one another.

The team is a huge motivator for me. We trust each other despite being on different teams. And we push each other for more results, projects and getting more clients.

“Empower those around you; it’s always a team effort. Communication and collaboration are important in a team. It’s a constant improvement of our processes to overcome challenges.”

What challenges have you proudly overcome in such a fast-paced working environment?

My previous job roles gave me a lot of preparation and experience. Be it fortunate or unfortunate, depending on how others perceive it. My first real job was in London. I landed a ‘boiler room’ sales role. People would constantly shout at you, which came with a lot of stress. This prepared me for what would come next in my career.

The challenges I’ve overcome in The Ortus Club environment are mainly communication and balancing my responsibilities.

Bear in mind that we are a multicultural team. We have different values, approaches, and ways of life. So, everyone has a different perspective and priorities both in work and in their personal life.

My ability to communicate effectively with the team is constantly changing and challenging. I do my best to communicate with someone because it’s different from one person or department to another. Since I know who they are, I consider their personalities. How can I effectively communicate the message without offending anyone or understanding what to get through to them?

When it comes to my workload, I have to manage them a bit differently. Sales objectives and project objectives are two different things. I have to create a balance when it comes to my duties with the team and how I can keep the client happy with our services. Without the help of our team, I wouldn’t be here right now.

Communication and collaboration all take time to improve, and I know we can keep improving our processes to overcome such challenges.

What knowledge can you share with the charisma and confidence of a lifelong expert?

It’s through your experiences. 9/10 of the confidence and charisma that I’ve built is through my positive and negative experiences. It’s something that you can learn and create. You’re not born with it, and it comes in numerous forms and sizes.

No matter how much you think you know, there will always be someone who knows more than you. You can always learn from someone. Learn from other people. I’ve been around people who are charismatic and confident. And I’ve learned to adapt those things in my way.

I’ll never forget when I became a wine sommelier for one of our events. People have remembered me that way. I always feel comfortable in the uncomfortable. Whether I do a good job or a bad job, I accept the result. I can only do my absolute best to make it a positive experience. A lot of things can happen at an event. What I can do is manage my ability to work with them than against them.

Why do you stay with the company? What would you tell someone interested in joining?

The people make a huge impact. They’re one of the reasons why I stay with the company. I’ve met people in our international offices, and breaking that virtual barrier changed everything. I’ve realised how much of a supportive environment they bring to the table. You’re not put in a position where you’re watched down. Instead, they help and assist you along the way.

Being with everyone gives me a unique experience and vibe, knowing that I come to work feeling like I’m working with my friends instead of my colleagues. Not that I take liberty or lenience, I’m still very strict and change hats when I need to, and be more like a leader.

Knowing that I have the freedom to discuss business and career ideas, perceptions and desires openly with people in the workplace is comforting and a great feeling. We’re a big company now. But, I can still talk directly with the owners of the company. That’s unheard of for a company of this size. They listen. They know what to say and how to understand your way of seeing things.

In terms of joining, I’d say The Ortus Club life pushes you to strive for more. The company puts you in a positive to achieve your goals. In my personal opinion, they offer you a way of getting 5 years of exposure in 12 months. Whenever I go to these events, I talk to executives from huge companies. No other company is going to give you that exposure. The fact that you can do that is amazing.

By joining The Ortus Club, no day is ever the same. You always work on something new, whether big or small. There’s always something more for you o grasp, work on and improve. They’ve created jobs solely based on the person’s talent and work set.

What do you think the future holds for The Ortus Club? What role will you play towards it?

I’ve only been here for a year, but I’ve seen massive success. We can keep pushing; the sky is the limit. The future of The Ortus Club is a constant dance between growth and sustainability. A push for more but understanding what we have. With the right pole in this company, we can go to a level we haven’t gotten to yet.

Time will tell how my role will pan out in the future. There are so many avenues for people to go into. No matter what department you’re in, you can see so many paths and places you can go. I wouldn’t be surprised if we start creating new roles to improve.
