SnackVideo, a short video sharing platform, and the Indonesian Mosque Council’s Mosque Youth Association (PRIMA DMI) collaborate to present various features and positive activities that encourage users to do good. This feature presents educational and religious content.

“Through collaboration with PRIMA DMI, SnackVideo maximizes its mobile application to encourage users to do good,” said Dina Bhirawa, Head of Marketing SnackVideo Indonesia in her statement

She said a number of new features have been introduced, including easy access to religious content and plans to hold educational activities through short videos and live streaming. One of the steps in this collaboration is training provided to PRIMA DMI members on creating good video content.

The training helps them to deliver the best quality religious content, including live streaming for events such as tabligh akbar and Friday sermon. SnackVideo users will also have easier access to religious content.

QR codes will be placed in various corners of mosques under PRIMA DMI, allowing users to access prayers and other religious content. More than 15 mosques have already implemented this feature, and other mosques under PRIMA DMI are expected to follow suit.

This collaboration also involves well-known Indonesian preachers, including Ustaz Abdul Somad who recently appeared on SnackVideo’s live streaming during a tabligh akbar. Mosques under PRIMA DMI will provide live streaming for SnackVideo users, allowing them to join the dhikr and receive spiritual guidance from renowned preachers. Dina emphasized that this collaboration is part of SnackVideo’s commitment to support positive, educative, and inspirational content in line with positive values.

“Hopefully SnackVideo users can more easily get religious content in gaining rewards, as well as sharing kindness through short video content,” she said.

Head of PRIMA DMI DKI Jakarta Ahmad Farhan welcomed the collaboration and saw it as an opportunity to develop the potential and skills of mosque youth in the digital era. He hopes this collaboration will benefit mosques and the younger generation.

“Insha Allah, with a very good purpose, this event will benefit the mosque and its young generation,” he said.

In addition to encouraging kindness, SnackVideo also takes steps to prevent the spread of harmful content, prohibiting videos that promote violence, pornography, hate speech, and other acts that violate the law. SnackVideo also warns that violations of their rules may result in sanctions, including account suspension or restriction of access to the platform.

Even if necessary, SnackVideo will coordinate with law enforcement to crack down on violations involving illegal or unlawful acts.
