Jaguar TCS Racing Optimistic to Return Jakarta Formula E Champion 2023

Jaguar Tcs Racing Optimistic to Return Jakarta Formula E Champion 2023, Last year, Formula E Jakarta 2022 was won by Jaguar Tcs Racing driver Mitch Evans. This year, the team is optimistic that it can win again in Formula E Jakarta 2023.

James Barclay, Team Principal of Jaguar Tcs Racing said although the team has had some fantastic races recently, the team is not complacent and the team’s focus is clearly set on delivering two optimal races in Jakarta.

“It’s a tough race to do because it’s physically demanding for the drivers, the team and the car with high temperatures and humidity. It’s good to get back to a successful event, but we’re realistic that with a new race car, the Jaguar 1-TYPE 6 and new Hankook tires it will need a reset and we can’t rely on what we did last year,” said James Barclay.

He also emphasized that, as with all races so far this season, tire and energy management will be critical and success will require a perfectly executed race.

Jaguar TCS Racing

Currently, Jaguar TCS Racing sits third on the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship leaderboard. Throughout the season, the Jaguar-powered race car has scored four first place finishes, 11 podiums and 338 points.

Jaguar TCS Racing driver Mitch Evans is fourth in the drivers’ standings and his teammate Sam Bird is seventh. Mitch Evans said the last few races have been positive for Jaguar TCS Racing and the team has been able to shorten the gap in the team and driver standings.

“This gives the team good momentum as we head into the next two races. Jakarta is a physically challenging race, but I did well there last season, so we’re feeling positive and we’ll be looking for big points and a podium in Jakarta,” said Mitch Evans.

Meanwhile, Sam Bird explained that the Jakarta race will be an opportunity that he and the team must capitalize on.

“There are double points available in one weekend this time. So it’s a great opportunity that must be utilized. Our team has worked hard and I will do my best,” Sam Bird said at the Jaguar TCS Racing press conference in Jakarta, Thursday (1/6/2023).

The race in Jakarta itself was held on June 3 and 4, 2023 at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC). For the racing teams, the tenth and eleventh series matches are very exciting races.

One of the biggest challenges is temperature. Therefore, teams and drivers need to come up with various strategies in order to keep the battery, drive and tires at the ideal temperature.

Regarding the implementation of electric cars, PT JLM Auto Indonesia as the brand holder agent (APM) of Jaguar in Indonesia considers electric cars to be the right solution in providing comfortable and environmentally friendly mobility.

President Director of PT JLM Auto Indonesia Gerry C. Kertowidjojo said that electric vehicles are not only present as environmentally friendly vehicles but also offer a variety of advantages so that in the future the use of electric vehicles will be more massive,

“Jaguar itself is committed to focusing on offering green luxury cars. This is also supported by the presence of a dealer network equipped with facilities and special tools for electric vehicle products from Jaguar,” said Gerry.
