Jinjiang International Trade Online Supply and Demand Matchmaking Event was Successfully Held

In order to implement the work requirements of the State Council of China, Fujian province and Quanzhou city on stabilizing the economic Market, accurately connect with target customers and help enterprises develop overseas markets, Jinjiang International Trade Online Supply and Demand Matchmaking event was successfully held via online video platform on the afternoon of November 15. This meeting was sponsored by Jinjiang Municipal People’s Government and organized by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Jinjiang Committee and China Chamber of International Commerce Jinjiang Chamber of Commerce. It gathered 68 enterprise representatives from Jinjiang outdoor sports footwear, swimwear, umbrella and other industries as well as 42 enterprise purchasers from 13 countries including India, Bangladesh, Belarus, Moldova, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates.

Mr.Ding Hongyu, Vice Mayor of Jinjiang Municipal People’s Government, Mr.Utpal Kant,Assistant Director of Indian International Chamber of Commerce and Mr.Ali Dhaheri, Vice Chairman of ABU Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, UAE, respectively delivered speeches at the event. Besides, on behalf of the foreign purchasers, Mr. Eklavya, procurement department manager from Saba Group and Mr. Robiul Islam, procurement department manager from Fortune Footwear Ltd. introduced the development of relevant industries in India and Bangladesh.

In recent years, Jinjiang has comprehensively strengthened exchanges and cooperation with countries and regions along “the Belt and Road”. With the theme of “Accurate cooperation for a sharing and win-win vision”, this matchmaking event aims to help enterprises carry out international economic and trade exchanges through Internet conferences and achieve sustainable development of matchmaking procurement. At the meeting,China Chamber of International Commerce Jinjiang Chamber of Commerce and Indian International Chamber of Commerce signed a memorandum of economic and trade cooperation through live talk to promote economic, trade, other exchanges and cooperation between Jinjiang and India and thus promote common prosperity and development.

Over the years, under the guidance of “Jinjiang experience”, Jinjiang has continued to focus on the real economy. Its total economic output has ranked first among Fujian counties for 28 consecutive years and the basic competitiveness of the county economy has ranked fourth in China. More than 260000 market entities and 50 listed enterprises have been cultivated, forming an industrial cluster of more than 200 billion yuan, one of more than 100 billion yuan, two of more than 50 billion yuan, and three of more than 10 billion yuan and the above-scale industrial output value has exceeded 690 billion yuan, running at “Jinjiang speed” with an annual growth of 60 billion yuan.

Relying on the industrial foundation of more than 700 billion yuan and the transportation advantages of ports and airport, Jinjiang’s foreign economy and trade continued to be active. In 2021, Jinjiang’s foreign trade export volume will increase by 71.22% year on year and the total import and export volume will exceed 100 billion yuan. Shoes, swimwears, umbrellas, slippers and other characteristic products  sell well at home and abroad.

As the outdoor sports market continues to heat up, Jinjiang continues to extend the industrial chain, seize the subdivided consumer market and accelerate the reform of marketing channels. In combination with the product characteristics of 68 Jinjiang suppliers of shoes, clothing, swimwear, umbrellas and the procurement needs of 42 overseas purchasers from 13 countries, pre docking between supply and demand was organized to achieve precise matching. During the activity, more than 170 “one-one-one” trade negotiations were held using the online video conference room to build a good platform for enterprises to develop overseas markets.
