“Ten years ago, Su’an village was not like this.” said Chen Shusen, Secretary of the Party branch of Su’an Village. In the early years, due to the rapid development of the ceramic industry, the awareness of environmental protection of enterprises was weak, which led to the redness and stink of the Jiushijiu Stream, weeds and piles of garbage on the riverbanks; In addition, the village road was in a state of disrepair with potholes.
In order to change such situation, in recent years, Su’an Village has vigorously implemented the strategy of rural revitalization by carrying out the great improvement of living environment and revitalizing land resources, and driving villagers to re-employment and start-up businesses.
“We carry out the major renovation of human settlements in a normal way, such as improving drinking water and lavatories, hardening village roads, treating sewage, greening and lighting, creating micro-landscape, improving rural environment, enhancing rural image and promoting people’s livelihood.” According to Chen Shusen, since 2020, on the basis of the original village construction, Su’an Village has successively completed the night scene project of Xibian Park, the Longyanlin Square covering an area of 1,000 square meters, the 620m “Yuda Road” extension project, the transformation of high-standard farmland demonstration area and other projects, which further connects the landscape resources and cultural resources of the village, and unveils the development of rural tourism.
A few days ago, the list of key characteristic townships (towns) and villages with outstanding achievements for rural revitalization in Fujian Province in 2020 was announced, and Su’an Village was on the list. “This is a recognition of Su’an Village’s work in the past few years, and also a driving force that inspires us to move forward.”

“Beauty is a need, while fortune is the standard answer to rural revitalization.” According to the relevant person in charge of Jinjiang Agricultural and Rural Bureau, this year, Jinjiang has accelerated the rural infrastructure construction and ecological protection, built beautiful countryside that is suitable for habitation, employment, entrepreneurship and tourism, and created a number of demonstration models in industrial integration, old village reconstruction and landscape improvement, so that high-quality rural areas can become a feature of Jinjiang villages.

As of December 7, 2021, there are 115 rural revitalization projects listed in the provincial project library in Jinjiang City, with the total annual planned investment of RMB 58.74 million, among which, 95 have been completed and 20 are under construction, and the investment reaches RMB 54.71641 million. There are 35 projects listed in 3 provincial-level outstanding village project libraries, with the total planned annual investment of RMB 11.82 million; There are five projects listed in the provincial-level characteristic township project library, with an annual planned investment of RMB18.3 million, all of which have been completed.
