Beat that Acne

Tags: acne skin

Acne, Acne marks and scars and pigmentation is a very common skin issue that we all face. Acne is a stubborn skin issue that pops out anytime, this acne has no season because they appear any time. They are the photo spoiler, a perfect dewy face spoiler and once it goes it leaves a mark. So why does this happen? We are perfectly aware that oiliness and clogged pores are the reason but what about the acne that enjoys spoiling your winter glow?

Acnes are the outcome of the oil released by the skin to keep the face hydrated and moisturized. The oil released is called Sebum. Sebum is responsible to keep the skin supple but too much of this oil can lead the cells of the skin to stick together. This can lead to clogged pores and breakout.

Breakouts happen irrespective of the season. Whether it is winter or summer, if there is an excess of sebum, acne is just around the corner.

So how do you deal with acne?

“Precaution is better than cure”

Let’s be honest about summer acne.

Fun in the summer sun… (No math needed) equals a lot of sweating which leads to the clogging of hair follicles, this results in accumulation of sebum. All of this leads to the growth of bacteria that causes pimples and acne.

Winter acnes are also the real deal

Winter is supposed to be the solution for acne and oil-free face but that is just a myth.  The secretion of sebum depends on the weather condition of the region. The dryer the area you are in, the skin will secrete more sebum to keep the skin supple and moist.

Acne seems to be a little too persistent. There is no weather condition that can spare the skin from acne. What we can do is tailor our skin with good skincare routine. That is the only way to outsmart this skin issue. Start with lightweight moisturizer instead of cream that leaves a layer of your skin. Now you must be wondering how moisturizers help? When you treat acne, the major issue is inflammation and most acne responds well when you ease it out. That is why it is important to us the right moisturizer that calms down the inflammation and also aids dry skin. It is best suggested to opt for skin hydrating lotions

Curb the acne problem before it starts. The best time to treat facial issues is in the morning. Why is the morning the best time? The skin is softest in the morning which makes it easy to unclog the pores. It is advised to use a cleanser that has EDTA Disodium with Neem extracts.

Do not wait for the dead skin to pile up; a gentle exfoliation every morning is a must to open the pores as it allows the skin to breathe. Another way to minimize acne is to use face serum which is easily absorbed by the skin. To beat acne, it becomes necessary to make skincare a routine, in the morning as well as before bed. With actives in your skin, the healing is faster once you sleep. It is because your body repairs itself when you rest.
