This automotive manufacturer, like others, has plantsin multiple regions and countries, and runs their own production-assembly line control applications. These generate labels and build sheets for workers at various stations at each plant. Plus Technologies‘ print partner in the region helped design and implement this print solution. This solution takes the application’s raw text data, and using OM Plus software, runs it through a Bottomline Technologies Transform software to make graphical output in the customer-specific desired layouts.

This print system needed maximum uptime, throughput, and reliability, from start to finish, and thus, was designed with OM Plus to provide: load balancing, print failover, and print confirmation.

1. The Application Servers have locally installed OM Plus Agents that route and load balance the output jobs to multiple Transform Servers.
2. The Transform servers run the jobs through the Transform process while load balancing the transform processes inside each instance.
3. After the jobs are transformed, the jobs are sent to a redundant set of Output Management System instances for final, confirmed delivery to the printers.
