Why CBD Sales are Blooming in 2020

In today’s re-opening economy, it seems that consumers are buying more Cbd Oil more than ever before in history. With studies and clinical trials showing more promise from cannabidiol – the primary compound found in CBD oil – Americans are using this nutraceutical to find peace-of-mind while boosting their own body’s response to everyday issues.

Why are people looking at CBD oil as a potential solution for common issues? Is CBD a good bet for your business? And if you decide to start selling CBD oil, what kind of products should you consider stocking? Here’s everything you need to know about the CBD oil boom, and why you may want to stock the best products for your customers.

What is CBD?

CBD is one of the primary cannabinoids found in industrial hemp plants. Since the 1960’s, scientists have researched how CBD is developed during the growth process, and how it may be beneficial for everyday use.

While it is the biggest cannabinoid, it’s not the only one. Industrial hemp plans contain five naturally-occurring cannabinoid compounds, including THC – the psychoactive chemical found in cannabis. When combined, users of full spectrum CBD oil can get the full benefit of the “entourage effect:” a reported boost from all the compounds working in concert with one another.

Moreover, full spectrum CBD oil can be certified as organic by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Licensed crops grown in hemp-friendly states (including California, Colorado and Kentucky) must adhere to strict crop circulation and pesticide use requirements. Only the best crops destined for CBD can be certified as “organic” across the United States.

Although full-spectrum CBD oil contains trace amounts of THC, it’s not enough to create the “high” feeling associated with cannabis use, or create a false-positive on drug tests. As a federal and industrial guideline, full-spectrum CBD oil intended for consumption in all 50 states must contain less than 0.3 percent of THC by dry weight. As a result, users will not feel any effects of the psychoactive compound, no matter how much or how often they use their CBD-based products.

Why do People Use CBD Oil?

There are many different reasons why people seek relief from a bottle of CBD oil. With every tincture or capsule, users are seeking better sleep, reduced anxiety, and a feeling of emotional wellbeing.

A 2019 peer-reviewed study published by The Permanente Journal suggests that there may be sleep benefits from using CBD at bedtime. Of the 72 adults in the small study, two-thirds of those taking CBD reported improved sleep within the first month. In addition, most every user tolerated CBD very well, which shows a lot of potential for future clinical trials.

CBD oil may also provide some benefits for anxiety as well. A widely-cited 1993 study published by the Journal of Psychopharmacology put CBD up against diazepam and ipsapirone, two drugs used to treat depression and anxiety. In comparison to the medications, the group who took CBD experienced decreased anxiety after a simulated public speaking situation. As a result, the study suggested CBD has ”anxiolytic properties in human volunteers submitted to a stressful situation” – which means CBD can reduce situational anxiety and stress.

The results from that test were later confirmed in another 2019 study published in Frontiers in Psychology. When CBD was given to a group of teenagers who suffer from social anxiety disorder, those given cannabidiol experienced “significantly decreased anxiety” measured by two different scales. Both studies suggest that during difficult times, CBD oil can provide a little bit of relief and confidence to face the future.

Which CBD Oil is the Best?

If your business decides to start selling CBD oil, where should you start looking? There are several important questions you need to ask before stocking your shelves with tincture bottles.

First, only sell CBD oils extracted from licensed industrial hemp plants grown in the United States. While CBD can be sourced from anywhere in the world, plants grown in the United States are closely monitored for purity, ensuring you only offer the best for your customers.

Next, be sure to look for the USDA certified organic label. These products are forced to live up to the strict government standards behind the label. When you offer certified organic CBD, ensure consumers get all the pure compounds from the plant, without pesticides or other by-products.

Finally, look for full-spectrum CBD oil, as it contains the most cannabinoids of all products. CBD isolate oils only contain CBD, while broad-spectrum oils contain some extra beneficial compounds beyond CBD. Only full-spectrum CBD oil provides the complete “entourage effect,” giving the most purported benefits for users.

The CBD oil industry is blossoming like never before – but you don’t need to be left out of it. By understanding why people are looking for CBD for sale and which products are best for your customers, you can ensure you offer only the top-tier products, guiding your clientele to potential relief.
