Buying a good set of Earbuds can set you back for a serious amount of cash, believe it or not. If you're looking for real quality, of course. While it's true that some brands tend to inflate the prices of their products, most of them indeed offer great quality but you sometimes have to pay the premium price because of the brand name.
Unlike studio headphones, earbuds are designed and used mostly for everyday applications, with an emphasis on mobility and portability.
In this artcle, I've tried to come up with a solution for everyone who's looking to buy a set of quality earbuds without breaking the bank. Let's take a look at some of the best earbuds under 50 dollars that would be well worth your money.
Silicon Devices Volcano Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds
Featuring Bluetooth 4.0 wireless technology with a range of 30 ft, these earbuds will suffice for just about anyone's needs.
A great solution for any type of workouts and physical activities because of the enhanced mobility and over-the-ear secure fit, which holds them firmly in place.
They are also sweatproof. Sound delivery is clean and crisp in high-definition, with a nicely balanced frequency spectrum. They also have a built in switch for receiving calls, so you don't have to handle your phone directly. Overall, a great set of earbuds for everyday use.
Photive PH-BTE70 Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds
Quite similar to Volcano, the PH-BTE70 from Photive is another great set of wireless earbuds intended mostly for active people. Great sound quality driven by premium drivers for an enhanced bass response.
They have a slightly better wireless range compared to Volcano (33 ft vs 30ft) and use the same Bluetooth 4.0 technology. Its battery lasts up to 6 hours which is more than enough for a good workout. Unless you're Arnold Schwarzenegger or something.
Also features a secure fit design for staying in place during the workouts. Pretty much the same quality as Volcano, I think the choice would ultimately depend on the brand awareness if you're choosing between those two.
SoundMAGIC E80 Reference Series Flagship Noise Isolating In-Ear Headphones
These are actually a couple of bucks above 50, but close enough to be considered. E80 offers exceptional sound quality for the price, they don't call them the reference series without a reason.
With a frequency range of 15 Hz – 22 kHz, and a sensitivity of 102db, these are definitely one of the best noise cancelling earbuds for the price.
The casing is built from aluminum which will ensure the longevity so you won't have to worry about buying a new set any time soon. If you want real audiophile-grade earbuds for around 50 bucks, this would be my choice.
TaoTronics TT-BH12 Wireless Earbuds
Up to 8 hours of playtime on the battery, bluetooth 4.1 technology combined with aptX for maximum efficiency and superb sound quality.
These earbuds are also great for any type of sports activities as they too are sweatproof and feature an over-the-ear rotatable hook for secure fit.
You get to choose from three pairs of closed and two pairs of semi-closed eartips for maximum comfort and fit for anyone's ears. Definitely a serious candidate for all-round best earbuds under 50 dollars.
Sony MDRXB50AP Extra Bass Earbud Headset
You'd be really surprised to see that these earbuds are the cheapest among all the models here, but they are by no means the least good.
With an amazing frequency range of 4 Hz – 24 kHz and 110db/mW sensitivity they can easily wrestle with some of the bigger and more expensive players in their field.
Sony is well-known for its use of high quality neodymium magnets in their headphones, and MDRXB50AP has them too. If you prefer an elegant, old school wired design without the ear hooks, these are one of the best cheap earbuds out there, for sure.

Conclusion
Choosing the best earbuds on a budget doesn't have to be a difficult task. There are so many reviews out there for almost every single product it could make your head spin, but it really comes down to reading the previous experiences from existing users and forming your own opinion.
If you know what you're looking for, you will most probably find it. Take some time to see what other people say about the products you're interested and you will greatly reduce the chances of picking up the wrong ones.
My personal favorite from this list is the Sound Magic's E80, but I don't use them for my workouts, you know. It all comes down for what you need them for. I hope this article will help you in making a good decision.
