Every year many people die in a road accident in India. In order to reduce these accidents every year, the Indian government has made several changes in the country’s old automotive act. Changes made in this Act have made the country’s traffic rules strict, and now people will have to pay a hefty Penalty for violating these rules. Not only this, the new amendments made in this bill have made the act even more difficult.

Penalty For Driving Without License

If you are caught driving without driving license, then you will be fined with ₹ 5, 000. Before the amendment, this amount was ₹ 10,000 along with Vehicle impound.

Penalty For Drunken Driving

The reason for most road accidents in India is to drink and drive. There was a provision for a penalty of ₹ 5,000 till last year which has now been increased to ₹ 25,000. Apart from this, if someone is caught driving dangerously, and then he will have to pay a fine of ₹ 25,000 instead of ₹ 10, 000.

Penalty For Not Carrying Vehicle Papers

In some other condition, if a person is caught driving a vehicle without carrying sufficient papers. She or he will have to pay a fine of ₹ 5, 000. Apart from this, the provision of impound of your vehicle for three months has also been made.

The Penalty For A Driving Vehicle Without Insurance

Often many people use their vehicle without insurance. But if a person is caught this Motor Vehicle rule, then he or she will have to pay a penalty of ₹ 10, 000.

Penalty For Not Wearing Seat Belt

In the last session for not wearing a seat belt, a penalty of ₹ 100 was taken. But after the new revision, the amount has been increased from ₹ 1000.
