Litha: On the Horizon

This year, Litha falls on June 20, 2016. To make the first day of summer even more special, June 20 is also the date for this month’s full moon. This first day of the season abounds with possibilities!

The first day of summer is a time of bounty, of plenty. Yes, it’s hot out there, but the sun lends its power, its vitality, to all living creatures. This is a great time to manifest literal fruits (and vegetables) through a magickal garden, but also for manifesting figurative fruits: honing skills for the home (canning, anyone?) or for the workplace (learning new technology), for the body (working out) and for the mind (the ultimate summer reading list).
