Weddings are a fabulous time for the bride and groom. A wedding Gift is an opportunity to congratulate the newlywed couple as they officially begin their new life together. And when your gift is something personalised, it adds a wonderful and meaningful touch to that gift.
The giving of personalized gifts can be a very revealing experience as it can often say a great deal about the gift-giver, including what they think about the person they are buying for. Truly personalized gifts are an outstanding way to give someone something that is truly unique.
Recently one of my fellow bloggers put forth a wonderful suggestion about having a personalised Wedding Gift. Thank You Gita Madhu for such a fantastico idea.
“I've always dreamed of putting together a small Book which can be given as wedding gift: a collation of romantic or other poems, tips (cooking/housekeeping/relationship/medical), with these on one side of a page and a picture or page for personal notes on the other,” says Gita.
So here is how you can make a personalised book and gift it to the newlyweds:-
1. Firstly you can buy a diary or a scrapbook. Decorate the cover with a colourful Chart Paper. Try using bright coloured chart paper as it really gives a wonderful look. You can stick a picture or write some wonderful words on the chart paper cover. Once you are done, cover it with a transparent gelatine sheet.
2. Divide the book into different sections.
3. Put colourful ribbon bookmarks to separate sections.
4. There can be sections on relationship advices, traditional recipes, etc.
5. You can have a section about poems and quotes. Just some wonderful wishes
6. Relationship advices can be from couples who have been married for a long time. It can include something like what to do during a fight, etc.
7. I love the recipe book idea. I would also add a photo of each person who provided the recipe, preferable with them cooking it! I suggest that you should give some of your traditional family recipes.
8. You can also fill the books with pictures of the bride and groom from their childhood or highlight their Love Story through pictures.
9. You can leave a section blank for the couple to fill in their new memories and experiences.
10. You can also add some home remedies for health and beauty, some tips about raising children or anything you feel special.
I feel a Personalized Wedding Book is a great gift for the bridal shower. If you are a groom, you can make a personalized wedding book yourself with wonderful memories and your love story and you can gift it to the bride before or after the wedding.
I remember, one of my friend who is a graphic designer, made a comic book about their love story and gave it to his wife on their first wedding anniversary. She reads that story to their daughter before she puts her to sleep.
