Image courtesy of Amanda Knight Having recently enjoyed an office trip to Cardiff to try and test our activities and packages – Cardiff is fast becoming one of our favourite hen party cities. We’ve been sending our hens to Cardiff for years, so as you can imagine we have built quite a back catalogue of stories and quite frankly shocking pictures! However, keeping it clean we delve into the world of having a hen party in Cardiff. Fancy Dress For most, an absolute must is Fancy Dress. Now, this can take hours of deliberation between hens – as well as many-a-silly suggestion there’s always one that thinks purchasing a handmade £150 costume each is the way forward. Slow down sister, keep it simple and take inspiration from our Cardiff hens of the past. 1. Barbie – Image courtesy of Charlotte Pearce These Ladies Opted for a Barbie theme! The bride to be looking stunning with her pink locks and wedding ensemble. The blonde wigs and array of pink is sure to look amazing on photos! 2. Old Ladies – Image courtesy of Sam Matthias This has to be one of the best Fancy dress efforts we have come across! Not afraid to dive head first into a carboot sale, emerging from the other side an absolute picture. These girls have got the old lady theme spot on – rollers, aprons and even an inflatable zimmer frame! 3. Where’s Wally – Image courtesy of Kristie Kingham A hen party classic, these ladies opted for a Where’s Wally theme. Absolutely perfect for the summer months, don those cute shorts and stripey tee’s girls – it’s time for geek chic! 4. Sailors – Image courtesy of Debbie Whiteley Cardiff is a seaside city – which seems to be what inspired these girls with their sailor theme hen party. We are absolutely loving those hats! 5. Cops & Robbers – Image courtesy of Joy Watterson This rebelious lot decided on cops and robbers. Amazingly straightforward to put together and get for larger groups (you can get into teams for games then!) We’re particularly impressed with their choice of getaway vehicle – a bus! |
Activities Apart from a lot of eating, drinking and general debauchery, what else are you going to do whilst on your hen weekend in Cardiff? Well, if we’re honest the list is so long, the choice so wide we thought we would just give you a few pointers instead! 1. Watersports – Sam Bailes Sam and hens opted for one of our more exclusive activities. Available because of its fantastic beside the sea location – Watersports! Gorge scrambling sees you tackling the river canyon, against waterfalls, rapids and caves before finishing the whole experience with a 30 ft pool jump. Or scramble your way around the coastline on a coasteering event – swimming and climbing next to the crashing waves. Fancy getting right in amongst it? Surfing and sea kayaking would be perfect for you! 2. Cocktail Making – Charlotte Pearce Cocktail Making has become quite the hen party staple. But there’s a reason for it – It’s just so good! Delicious cocktail, creative fun and hilarious games – what’s not to like?! 3. Spa-rty – Lee Jennings Completely exclusive to UKGirlThing. A Spa-rty event in Cardiff is the answer to wanting a relaxing spa but in a party environment. Indulge in beauty treatments, lunch and even a chocolate fondue in your own private room. 4. Adventure – Kristie Kingham Get adventurous like Kristie here – with one of the many adventure packages available in Cardiff. But may we recommend the fantastic Go Ape! With heights up to 16 metres and obstacles zip lines, ladders, bridges and tunnels this assault course madness wont leave you disappointed. 5. Dance Class – Kathryn Cerrone Here at UKGirlThing we have 16 dance class experiences to choose from, with another few on the way – there is something for every type of fan. From Thriller to Grease or 80’s to Lady Gaga! Why not team it with themed fancy dress to really pack a punch! |
