Lately, life is bringing us to question many things. Things that we dare no speak of, or know of. It silently threatens our way of thinking, but we continue on with our pleasantries.
I sit here late at night thinking about unconditional Love. And, not love that's just a filter through love interest; although, relationships are a poignant part of the human experience. I didn't want to get scientific; I just wanted to speak on its non-exists in our childhood, and adulthood.
As people, we are not Taught to love...Please don't think of this as a plea to our society. We are taught duty, honor, family, and survival ( well some of us.) That includes money, race, sex, ideology, but we are not taught to care.
Think about that. I bet you can't wait to tell me a story about your parents sitting you down, and stating "You have to be a kind person. You have to be a loving person. You have to be understanding person " if you heard something similar to this; Then you'll also have to admit, there were always a tinge of hypocrisy floating around.
Since we weren't brought up to feel, it becomes more of a display as we age. It becomes insecurity, pessimism, and regret.
Emotions are dangerous in the hands of non-feelers.
We're taught to hide our sadness, our fears, everything that adds to our resume. That resume we do not intend to show to our spouses, our children, our family, and our friends, We'll rather live in denial. And, reverse love into hate, reverse kindness into rudeness, reverse loyalty into disloyalty.
Is it because predecessors weren't taught either.
So who's to blame?
One thing I've learned. As you get older, you'll have more questions, than the answers you'll receive.
