Pastel wedding bouquets are growing in popularity
Sure, plain white and soft ivory bouquets are always and forever popular, but other flower trends we’re loving are popping up and gaining their share of the bridal market. Big wedding bouquets, purple wedding bouquets, and now Pastel Wedding Bouquet options are the top floral trends to watch this year.
“With Ultra-Violet being the Pantone Color of the year, the floral Industry is seeing an increase of brides wanting to remain on trend,” explains Bron Hansboro, of The Flower Guy Bron. “However, I have a feeling that primarily purple bouquets will remain a taste specific to brides with an edge.”
That’s where Bron says the pastel Wedding Bouquet Trend is catching on — it gives brides the opportunity to experiment with bolder, more exciting colors in a more subdued and elegant way, which could be perfect for beachside weddings, outdoor events, and other nature-inspired bridal activities.
“There are so many considerations that have to be made with any wedding bouquet. One of the most important and fun things to choose are the specific flowers. My favorite pastel purple flowers for bouquets are roses, lisianthus, sweet pea, limonium, hydrangea, freesia and stock. Durability, fragrance, ease to design and the blooms overall appeal is what attracts me to these specific flowers.”
Bron also says the key to bringing pastel wedding bouquet option into the future is focusing on their size and architecture. “There is certainly a bouquet for everyone, but we should be on the lookout for larger than life bouquets that are elongated horizontally. Also, look for untraditional bouquets that include geometric shapes.”
