Kristen and Cole’s Wedding is just what we need to lift up our spirits during all this winter weather! While Virginia is probably also in the throes of low temperatures too right now, it certainly does not look that way in this bride and groom’s picture-perfect mountainside wedding. From the looks of the photos captured by Kathryn Ivy Photography, it was peonies galore at Pharsalia and it was nothing short of a floral dream. It was peak peony season during their wedding, and the darling blooms were literally sprouting up all over the venue (lucky!).With the help of A Little Party Events, Kristen and Cole were able to utilize their surroundings and went for an elegant garden design for their wedding. This only enhanced the stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the background and the plantation’s own lovely setting. Our hearts are all aflutter from this wedding! From the photographer, “Kristen and Cole were married on the most beautiful May day at Pharsalia in Tyro, Virginia.””Pharsalia is incredible at any time of the year, but in May, it just shows off. Pharsalia is a flower farm and May is peak peony season! I have never, ever seen so many peonies in my life!””Cole and Kristen exchanged gifts before their first look and Cole surprised Kristen with a dog collar for their NEW GREAT DANE PUPPY (that they’ll be bringing home this fall)!””Their herb garden was in full bloom and it’s where Kristen and Cole shared their first look – amongst the colorful array of blooming herbs.}”Kristen wore a beautiful custom lace gown with a tan underlay by Celebrations Bridal and jewelry from BHLDN. Cole wore a blue suit from Ralph Lauren.””Kristen’s bridesmaids looked stunning in an assortment of blush and cream dresses from BHLDN. She and the bridesmaids carried peony bouquets made by Pharsalia’s resident flower extraordinaire, Foxie.””Kristen and Cole had a HUGE bridal party and they were some of the best I’ve gotten to photograph! The guys were up for anything and were so genuine and relaxed.” “Meg (bride’s sister) made these giant canvases for the bars that pin pointed the origins of each specialty drink being offered — a special touch to Kristen’s love of travel.””The joy of this day is evident through the photographs. The amount of love Kristen and Cole have for each other and their family and friends is infectious. With the help of planners, A Little Party Events, they put together an incredible wedding day.”Photography: Kathryn Ivy Photography // Event Planning: A Little Party Events // Cinema and Video: B Sandridge Wedding Films // Bridesmaid Dresses and Jewelry: BHLDN // Dress Store: Celebration Bridal // Hair Styling: Lou Stevens Glam Squad // Bakery: Cakeview // Venue: Pharsalia
