Why do Grooms cry when they see their Brides in wedding gowns?

I am sure you must have come across many videos on the internet on "Grooms Crying at the Altar". Watching a Groom cry looking at his bride is extremely adorable. It's either tear of joy or a huge smile of excitement. And whenever we watch these videos or pictures, we instantly wish that I husbands/grooms would react the same way.

These first look reactions are priceless. The “first look,” is when the bride and groom first see each other in their wedding attire. The moment is full of genuine surprise, joy, beauty and excitement.

But, most of us wonder what is it that makes grooms cry at the altar?  This question has been asked on Quora, Reddit, and Yahoo Answers multiple times.

Looking at their future walking towards them is one of the most beautiful moments. Sometimes grooms just can't hold back the tears of joy. It's a very emotional moment.

After looking around the internet, I found my answer to the question: "Why do Grooms cry when they see their Brides in wedding gowns?"

Here is what one groom said,"I won. I just felt like if there were a moment in my life where I had beat the final boss, saved the princess and got the congratulations screen, it was that moment." — PenguinoMcDirt

Here are three common reasons why grooms cry:-

1) Finally Found Your Forever

She is the one with whom you will be spending your forevers. She will be the one to stand by you through thick and through thin, through rich and through poor, through sickness and through health. She is going to be your family. You realize that you have made the right choice. At that moment, the groom feels he is the luckiest man alive.

2) She Looks Breathtakingly Beautiful

Many grooms have never seen their brides in their wedding gowns before the big day. But, that day, it's not just the dress or the veil. It's her. She is so happy and looks so radiant. That smile is enough to make your heart melt and your knees weak.

3) Things Are Going To Change

At this point, you are feeling this rush of contentment surround you and warm your heart to its capacity. Your life will not be the same anymore. You two are going to be family now. Your room will be her room. Your bed will be her bed. Soon, you will have addition to your family. Your life will never ever be the same again.

Apart from these, there is a small percentage of grooms who cry because they will miss their single life and are not ready for the big, big change. But don't worry, this percentage is extremely small.

If your groom doesn't shed a tear don't feel bad. Because deep within, there are fireworks going on in this heart. So just walk towards him and say "I Do!" for your lifetime of happiness.
