Visit the upcoming exhibition to have stylish tips and outfits to hit the wedding season in glam way.

How about a dupatta saree

Mostly bridal lehengas have heavy embroidered dupattas that can also be used as a saree afterwards. You do not have to do much work, just take your dupatta. So you can make yourself a cloth piece to make a full length saree (5 to 6 meters). You can also add a plain coloured cloth, as your dupatta is already heavy, you can make the plain one as a pallu. To pair your lehenga dupatta as a saree, you can wear your lehenga blouse or choli, else get a new one stitched. Your dupatta-cum-saree is ready. Voila!

Cover up

Though the lehenga is already heavily-worked and it does not make sense to wear it on a small function or party at home or friend’s party. If you have any wedding at home for example your sibling wedding, you still can wear it. This also does not mean that you will take all the spotlight off from the bride, but it is allowed to be a little extravagant from the rest at the wedding. To hide the heavy work on the lehenga, you can try wearing a sheer ethnic jacket or a sort of shrug to conceal the work.

Swap it

You can also experiment by wearing a plain dupatta and a blouse instead of the matching legenga blouse and dupatta. This combination will balance out the heavy work on the lehenga with the plain piece. Also try wearing a contrasting or color blocked blouse piece and dupatta for a trendy yet elegant look.

Anarkali Suit

If you love wearing suits, that there should not be a problem at all. And after years of marriage, you might put on some weight and your favourite wedding lehenga no more fit you perfectly. For this, transform your wedding lehenga into an Anarkali suit! Visit a nice boutique and get your lehenga stitched into an Anarkali suit to give a new look to your wedding outfit. This can also be done by attaching the blouse to the lehenga skirt.

Cuts

If your wedding lehenga’s design is outdated, then you must try this. Up-cycle your wedding dress by cutting the borders and other motifs or designs from the lehenga and get it stitched on your plain saree.
