People might be socially distanced, but we are still in this together. Places might be closed, but our hearts are still open. Events might be cancelled, but love is not.

Over the past few weeks, I've found myself treasuring time and humanity like never before. I am grateful for the people simply choosing to stay home and keep safe. I am grateful for people that are finding creative ways to give back. I am grateful for the people keeping us entertained and optimistic on social media. And I am grateful to spend this unique time with my best friend and best fuurrrrend because I know some people out there are isolating solo (and that deserves acknowledgement and takes great strength).

Although we still have more storm to power through, I hope you find little ways to show up for yourself and others each day, I hope you see beauty in the simple moments, and I hope know there is so much for which to look forward. We are in a time of uncertainty, but we are also in a time where real character is forged.

What makes us human is not our thoughts, our money, or our accomplishments, but rather our love, our humor, and our gratitude. Let's hope our abilities to heal each other, make peace, and give back are the stories we will be proud to tell others about this unprecedented period of time.
