“Hoping this post Brings you comfort during this uncertain time. Fiancé and I were supposed to get married in Palm Springs 10 days from today. After 15 months of planning, I never thought that we would have to postpone our wedding because of a pandemic. I’m shocked, sad and mostly heartbroken.

My heart goes out to everyone who’s had their world rocked because of coronavirus. I know this has shifted the way we work, provide for our families, engage with others and function as normal human beings. But at the end of the day, I try to remind myself that there is still so much to be grateful for. I know I will look back at this chaotic time and have a deeper appreciation for life. And I hope you will too.

When this is over, may we never take for granted: a handshake with a stranger, full shelves at the store, conversations with neighbors, a crowded theatre, date night, a routine checkup, complaining with coworkers, 24/7 gym, coffee with a friend, the stadium roaring, a boring Tuesday, each deep breath, and life itself.

When this pandemic ends months from now, I will be walking down the aisle marrying my best friend. Yes, I’m bummed that we aren’t getting married sooner, but I get to spend a lifetime with my person. And that’s the happy ending that truly matters." — @donutsandtherapy
