Hotel Review: Andaz London

AD|PR Trip
Andaz London Liverpool Street
A few years ago, we were lucky enough to win a wedding blog award at an event hosted at Andaz London Liverpool Street. It was here that we recently found ourselves again, invited to a wedding showcase and a night’s stay to take in all that the hotel had to offer couples looking for a city wedding.

With a super stylish and arty lobby, we entered through dramatic draped curtains to a graffiti-styled décor, with plush velvet seats and industrial lighting alongside cosy lampshades. We were given a lovely welcome and then headed through the hotel, which begs you to look up into a vast, airy, light atrium stretching up to the roof.

Weddings at Andaz London Liverpool Street

The wedding showcase was a wonderful display of everything Andaz London Liverpool Street can offer! We were greeted with champagne and spotted some of our specialist supplier friends presenting their services, cakes, photographers, and DJs. It was so lovely to see them!

Andaz London Liverpool Street has around 15 different spaces to host a wedding, from an intimate 14-person space in the beautifully panelled Exchange room to the contemporary Great Eastern room, which can welcome 300 people. We fell in love with the 1901 Ballroom, which is Grade 2-listed and has a stunning stained-glass dome that floods the room with natural light. Grand columns and marble floors make this a dramatic location for a London wedding. We also loved the Masonic Temple, hidden away in the hotel and beautifully restored in Grecian style.

We enjoyed listening to various speakers, including the hotel’s head chef, who presented a gorgeous dessert table and told us how he creates such delectable masterpieces, perfect for a wedding breakfast.

Staying at Andaz London Liverpool Street

Our room was a calming space with a grey palette and plenty of natural light, looking out over London. Modern, clean and stylish, it had everything you’d need for a restful, relaxing night’s sleep, with a brilliant white tiled bathroom with striking black features. It was a lovely space.

Dining at Andaz London Liverpool Street

With five different spots to choose from, eating at Andaz London Liverpool Street offers many options! Afternoon tea or a glass of wine at 1901 Wine Lounge or authentic Japanese cuisine at Miyako, there’s a classic menu at Eastway Brasserie and a British menu at Lady Abercorn’s Pub & Kitchen. Café by day and bar by night, Rake’s has an extensive cocktail and champagne menu, which we loved. A great place for a luxury hen weekend, the buzz was electric and the DJ live and loud. This would be a great place to mingle before a wedding or after an evening ceremony.
