Hotel Review: The Gantry

A party at The Gantry London

Joining London’s Stratford skyscrapers, The Gantry is a slick new Hotel that oozes urban chic. Open for just one year, we were invited to come and party with them, seeing all that was on offer inside the doors of this incredible hotel.

Our room was on the 17th floor, with views of the distant London Eye and out over the city. Stylish and comfortable, it had a gorgeous teal feature wall and industrial light fittings, a huge walk-in shower in the ultra-modern bathroom, a minimalist grey granite basin, and Grown Alchemist toiletries.

But rather than relax in our room, we were there to party! So we got ready and headed to the champagne and oyster reception, where
there was such a buzz. A vast balloon arch in blues and gold welcomed us, and we moved naturally from room to room, seeing a true showcase of what the hotel has to offer for events and parties.

Sky Bar and Terrace

On the 18 th floor, there’s a roof Terrace with a retractable roof, perfect for our good old British weather! This would be ideal for a reception, a big open space with a bar, heaters and, for us, a multitude of street food stations offering delectable delights, including
incredible dumplings, delicious pared-down roast beef dinner and a quirky gin and tonic risotto. All dishes were stunning, served in bowls to enjoy on the terrace.

Once we’d enjoyed our food, we were escorted to the main event space for an evening of dancing in the Union Social bar with DJ Fat Tony, complete with laser lights and a super-fun atmosphere. Cocktails and mulled wine were on tap, and a cheese table full of
different cheese varieties, a selection of cake pops and a cake shaped like a hotel itself! The Gantry is a real foodie hotel, priding itself on offering delicious local produce.

Having danced till 3 am, our little party slept soundly until breakfast, where we enjoyed all they had to offer before heading out into London. The Gantry is well located, just a short walk to the Tube and Westfield shopping centre, and an easy connection to central.
London. Part of the Hilton Curio Collection, it’s fresh, modern, and so welcoming. The staff were friendly, and I loved the focus on fresh local food.

Collaboration and creativity

The hotel holds theme nights, hosts pop-ups and has a great creative culture. It would be a stunning place to hold a party, celebrate with friends or hold an evening reception. The 18 th floor terrace makes it such a gorgeous location, and the Coupe bar is so stylish and elegant it would be dreamy to relax there with sparkling tea. Everything is plush in velvet or a stark contrast of industrial pipework and metal tones. Cool, modern and chic, they constantly look for creative ways to do things, collaborating with food and drink experts and local creatives. I love their vibe and would recommend a visit.

My 5 Star faves:

  • The roof terrace and sky bar lift you above London for spectacular views and
    delicious drinks
  • The collaborative culture connects the hotel to its neighbourhood
  • The local produce is as fresh as it gets!
