Monique Lhuillier describes the Fall 2020 bridal Collection as “An exuberance of colour” and “A celebration of life.” It certainly is a stunning collection, filled with exquisite design and a huge range of styles and silhouettes. It’s about embracing individualism, which the dresses do with wild abandon. Colourful florals and botanical prints adorn the designs, with billowing sleeves, exaggerated trains and versatile additions. It’s a great collection, and I’ve chosen my 5 Star favourite five. Baldwin
The contrast of high puffball skirt and luxurious train makes this one an eyecatching number! I love the detail of the wrapped bodice against the tucked skirt.
Hydrangea
Embodying the theme of this collection, Hydrangea gives us an unusual green hue and a subtle, but gorgeous print. Elegant dropped shoulders and a classic shape give this one a perfect fusion of modern and contemporary.
Celine
Adding a little chic and sleek to the collection, this one is pure in its simplicity. A deep V neckline leads to a twist that then splits again in perfect symmetry, with puffed shoulders and long ruched sleeves for elegance.
Secret Garden
Bold in its excess, yet subtle in its colour, this gown has the most exaggerated train, adorned with pink ruffles that lead up to a twisted bodice and off the shoulder straps.
Adore
A classic shape, with lace bodice, keyhole back and long, elegant sleeves, it lives up to its name! I adore the cute little satin bows that trail down the skirt; with its voluminous layers it screams of fairytale weddings in princess castles with secret gardens.
I love the diversity in this collection.
