Let’s take a look at how to set the scene for your Winter wedding. Your stationery is probably the easiest way to kick-start your Winter décor, and it’ll get your guests ready for what’s around the corner. Rustic brown invitations with deer motifs are a perfect choice if you want a woodland-inspired Winter wedding. Finish the look by wrapping dainty tartan ribbon around the invitations. Alternatively, white invitations with snowflake detailing will look equally beautiful – a wonderful option if you’re going down an icy blue, white and silver colour scheme.

When I think of Christmas I think of beautiful crisp frosts and shimmering snowflakes, so why not reflect this through your bridal look? Wedding gowns adorned with glittering jewels, beads and embellishment will look stunning and you’re bound to sparkle on your big day. Opt for silver jewellery and accessories – a silver jewelled hair vine always looks gorgeous with a loose up-do. Winter weddings are bound to get cold, so a dress with long lace sleeves is a fab option. Alternatively, I suggest donning a jacket or faux fur bolero in the evening. You could even get matching faux fur boleros for your bridesmaids – they’ll get chilly in the dresses too! Metallic silver heels are stylish option for your wedding shoes, and you can always change into some glittery pumps in the evening.

There are so many ways to style a Winter wedding cake, we’d be here forever! You can never go wrong with a 3 tier cake with simple white icing – let the Winter décor do the talking! Sprigs of holly and berries around each tier will look lovely, you could even use pinecones as an alternative cake topper!

Speaking of wedding cakes, let’s talk about Winter wedding food and drink. Opt for lots of tasty warm canapés and delicious steaming drinks. It may be worth having a hot chocolate bar set up for the evening – your wedding guests will look forward to a warm drink as the evening draws in. A DIY cocoa bar is great fun, just fill mason jars with marshmallows and hot chocolate powder and your guests can serve themselves! For extra warmth and cosiness, I recommend providing a basket full of snuggly blankets and shawls that your guests can help themselves to.

I absolutely love the idea of hanging a Winter wreath onto your venue entrance – it’s a fun Winter tradition that will welcome your guests in a very romantic way. You could make it extra personal by hanging a sign with ‘Mr and Mrs’ written on it, along with the date of your special day.

Not only will they give off a warm glow, they’ll smell divine! Rustic tree slices are a fab base for your table centrepieces. Consider filling vases full of Winter blooms or simply place a tea light in a jam jar onto your tree slice.
