Are you on a journey or a treadmill?

Are you on a journey or a treadmill?
This is a question that many people ask themselves daily – Are you on a journey or a treadmill? We are all busy and overwhelmed by the high speed of progress, speed on the highways and the information age which forces us to keep up or forever be lost in the abyss. The more you are willing to slow down and understand this question, the more you will begin to have a better understanding of yourself. The relationship you have with yourself is vital for your existence in a confusing world. It is all about learning to live a life that is healthy and more fulfilling because it is in balance and harmony.

Seeing the bigger picture is huge when it comes to feeling good about yourself and your environment because it helps you integrate and imagine how the pieces fit together for your self- awareness. It is like acquiring a deeper sense of hearing- seeing and being more alert, alive and fully in tune with self. Just like a blind person who develops a more acute sense of hearing, you, too, need to develop a higher sense of intuition, your innate attributes and your God given talents as you learn to excel at problem-solving. Seeing the bigger picture and simplifying the difficulties that you experience daily is key to your personal growth as you learn to live a more harmonious and balanced lifestyle.

Improving your ability to listen- hear and see the bigger picture of life as it relates to you means that you can move out of the shadows of life and enjoy the rainbow of various colors. That includes stretching your imagination, of developing your creativity and then integrating the power of your own unique blend of magic as you see it. This, in itself, will be a valuable tool to help you reach your best in a world that is competitive and often out of balance.

The magic of discovery and living a balanced life has a great deal to do with making choices regarding what is important to you and then finding a real sense of steadiness that equalizes your mind, body and spirit so that you are living in harmony in all areas of your life. In life, we must make decisions as to what is important to us and what can be eliminated or at least moved to a lesser status on the ladder of importance. We all have commitments and things that need our attention, but the real question is what is really important and what brings you joy? If something does not truly serve you and bring you joy, you need to find a way to remove it from your calendar of events or relegate that experience to someone else who is better suited to take over that task.

People who live a somewhat balanced life may not have all the answers, but they certainly know how to live each season of their lives with greater harmony and purpose. That should be your goal. When we are out of balance, we are also out of focus, which also means that we are close to burnout before we are aware of the warning signs that say our poor decisions have brought us to this dangerous point.

We definitely do not want to run on empty! Most people are crunched for time, feeling stressed over the pressures of life and the high-pace of activity that makes them feel as though they are weighed down by too many choices that we all experience daily.

The best way to remedy those complex feelings is to learn how to distinguish between what really matters for you and what simply annoys you and your senses. How much better will your life feel when you are prepared to cope more fully as your life takes on new meaning and purpose.

Our primary mission is to tap into the power within us, that is, our soul power, our intuitive power and the power to feel free. We might have a burning desire to fulfill our purpose but if we do not make a conscious decision to move in that direction, we will miss the mark and constantly wonder why we feel empty and unfulfilled. So as you continue to answer my initial question on how do you view your life, I encourage you to slow down, create a plan for your life and consciously make choices that will bring you a greater sense of fulfillment, joy and magic. After all, this is your life and you are the designer of it.
