Defiant Apologizes!

Apologize are just self serving bullshit to ease your own mind. I do it a lot. I knew it would get picked, because the theme of this week was “right the ship” and all the other choices were about writing, except this one. So any outlier on the poll will always win

I didn’t apologize to somebody that I’m still friends with because I didn’t want to rip open old scabs, or maybe it was too hard. Anyway’s my old roommate Reid had a huge jar of quarters when I lived in nyc. Sometimes I didn’t have any cash on me. When i needed to do laundry that meant I would have to go to the ATM to get money out, or I could sneak into Reid’s room and grab a handful of quarters to clean my clothes. Is it the worst thing I have ever did? No, but sometimes you have to get the pebble out of your shoe before you try and move that boulder.

So I talk to Reid who I should talk to more, I feel more sorry that i don’t keep in better contact than the quarters thing really. He had had his suspicions, but wasn’t mad. He was actually very gracious, he only asked for a Dave Waite pin to make amends, because he’s a better man than I will ever be.
