Not only does FuboTV offer a bunch of sports channels, but they also provide other mainstream channels and services that are worth a strong look if you’re planning on cutting the cord to cable or satellite TV. What Exactly is FuboTV?

FuboTV is a live TV streaming service that specializes in sports channels. They started specifically as a soccer streaming service but have since branched out to cover the NFL, NBA, MLB, golf, and college sports as well.

But it should be noted that they’re NOT only sports these days. Their channel package also includes Hallmark, USA, HGTV, FX, FOX News, Oxygen, and Lifetime to name a few.

When it comes to sports, their big missing channel is ESPN. But the sports channels that they do offer is quite impressive and includes NFL Network, NFL Redzone, Big 10 Network, FS1, PAC 12 channels, and NBCSN to name a few.

They also offer a DVR service so you can record your favorite sports teams, TV series, and movies for later viewing. More on that later.

Is FuboTV Easy to Use?

FuboTV is pretty darn intuitive when it comes to figuring out how it works.

Here are the four major categories on the FuboTV interface.

• Sports: The “Sports” tab breaks down into these sports: Soccer, Football, Basketball, Hockey, Racing, Cycling, Golf, Tennis, MMA, Boxing, and Rugby.
• Entertainment: The “Entertainment” tab includes both Movies and TV Series for your viewing pleasure.
• Guide: This is exactly what you think it is. A guide that shows all of the shows, games, and movies that are currently on. It does a nice job mimicking a cable TV guide.
• My DVR: The “My DVR” tab is where you go to manage your DVR as well as find all the programs that you have recorded.

Their interface (pictured above) is very similar to other streaming services like SlingTV, Amazon Prime Video, and DirecTV NOW.

What Devices Can FuboTV Be Viewed With?

Here’s the official list of compatible devices:

• Fubo Latino ($14.99/mo): Includes Univision, FOX Deportes, BeIn Sports, Galavision, TyC Sports, and UniMas.
• Fubo Português ($19.99/mo): Includes BeIn Sports, Goltv Spanish, and RTP International.
• Mundo Plus ($5.99/mo): Includes FOX Life, FOX Deportes, and TyC Sports.
• The Blues ($5.99/mo): Includes ChelseaTV.
• Cycling Plus ($8.99/mo): Includes the Fubo Cycling channel.

Is it just me or is $9 for the Cycling channel a little steep?

Do They Offer a DVR Feature?

Yes, they do indeed offer a DVR feature.

You pay $9.99 per month and get 500 hours of storage. The cool part is that you can access your Fubo DVR from any compatible device.

The Pros and Cons of FuboTV

Pros:

• Sports Programming: It’s really hard, if not impossible, to find an online streaming service that offers the NFL Network, NFL Redzone, Big 10 Network, FS1, BeIn Sports, PAC 12 channels, and NBCSN. If sports is your thing, a Fubo 7-day trial makes a lot of sense.
• Soccer Fans LOVE It: If you’re a big soccer fan FuboTV is right up your alley. They offer daily matches to the Bundesliga, Premier league, MLS and a dozen others.
• Generous Free Trial: Not only can you take advantage of one 7-day trial, but you can use a different email address and get another trial for free as well.
• Good Streaming: On all of the platforms and apps I tested Fubo the streaming held up quite well. Obviously the stronger your Internet connection the better, but I had very little re-buffering both on WiFi and cellular data. Loading times were less than 5 seconds as well.

Cons:

• No ESPN: Even though they have a ton of sports programming they’re still missing ESPN. Hopefully this will change in the near future.
• Price: With the Premier package coming in at $39.99 a month, FuboTV is a little pricey. But keep in mind that a cable package with the same sports programming will cost you between $75-$100/month.
• Local Programming: Unfortunately you won’t gain access to any of your local channels. You’ll need an over-the-air HD antenna to make that happen for free.

It really comes down to what you’re looking for in a streaming service and what your viewing habits are.
