Films are our blood

Tags: film

What would the world be like without movies? I'd hate to live in it! Films are staples in our society. They allow us to see ourselves from outside, allow us to escape our dreary, or stressful lives and live vicariously through those on-screen. Film is about telling a story, but it does much more than that. Films can make us feel things that we never expected to feel, and think about things in a way that we had never thought about things before. They can capture our imagination, our dreams, our emotions. They have toppled establishments and will always be a spokesman for social, political and economic issues.
How could I resist becoming a filmmaker myself! It is a tough road, but it really allows for a vast appreciation for the art, and of the dedication of all the people and all their work in achieving a certain vision. I hope that someday, everyone can appreciate films even more than I do, and so with that said, I aim to provide as much information about the history of film, the great films and directors of our time, and movies hitting the box office. I urge you to keep an open mind when it comes to films, check out some of the more obscure ones, they're usually really good. (recommend: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind, Punch-Drunk Love, Mulholland Dr.)
