That time when I needed a Snickers …

By now I should know better than to do ANYTHING when I’m hangry. So my Plex server started acting a little funny here and there but seemed otherwise fine. Well, I got in a mood to tinker … and really should’ve just left it alone and went to bed. I was hungry, had a headache which was well on its way to becoming a full blown migraine (rain!), and getting aggravated because of all of this AND Plex being a little heinie-hole.

I’ve said it before … sometimes I question my own intelligence …

So what should have been just a troubleshooting session snowballed into a full FUBAR situation. I’ll save y’all the gory details, but it looks like now I’m having to uninstall Plex Media Server and reinstall it because it now won’t start. Wheeeeee! Oh well, chock this up as a Learning experience! On the plus side, I DID learn how to get around the write protection on my USB drive.

I was getting the following errors while trying to copy a backup of my database files over to the databases directory via SMB and the X-plore app.

I was able to resolve this by giving X-plore write access via Settings > Apps > Special app access > NAS storage access. (found that via Reddit)

So … yay for learning things? LOL
