My birthday wishlist

Monday is my Birthday, I'm leaving for Europe Friday, the dollar is strong, and I am going to shop. I am only two months into my no-new-clothes resolution and, let me tell you, I have the biggest urge to spend. (I realize it sounds like I have an addiction, and I probably do, but I'm working on it, I promise.) In spite of my urges, I'm not going to go on a shopping bender; I'm going to do it responsibly! Here's what's on my tightly edited birthday wish list.

1. I get so much swag at work and from this blog, I don't really buy beauty products anymore (I know you're playing the world's tiniest violin right now), but we don't carry Diptyque products and I am absolutely obsessed with this Paris-themed scent. It has a lot of things I don't normally like—rose and patchouli, for example—but for some reason, it just works. I'm planning on buying this in Paris, because tariffs.
Diptyque Eau Capitale $180

2. I have not really understood the appeal of Rothy's until they unveiled this Mary Jane flat, which actually looks like it has a point of view, and a cute one at that. Shoes fall under my exception list, which makes these totally ok to buy, and while the price seems slightly outrageous for something made out of recycled water bottles, I do appreciate the sustainable angle. Also, did I mention how cute they are?
Rothy's bow flats $155

3. I tried to buy this Dress at the end of last year and my order got cancelled due to lack of inventory. I've been stalking it ever since, as have a lot of people, apparently, because the restock is nearly sold out in black (there are still a bunch of sizes left in red). I am all for a dress that's super comfy yet sexy, and that's exactly how I'd describe this one. I just may use one of my five get-out-of-jail-free cards on it.
Free People sunflower maxi dress $98

4. Bottega Veneta is the hot luxury brand right now, and while their pouch bag and woven shoes have been getting all the attention, I think this Belt is truly the label's standout accessory. I realize that this is a ridiculous amount of money to pay for a belt, however, so I am praying to the fashion gods that the exchange rate will work in my favor. Amen.
Bottega Veneta belt $1,300
